Vince Young- 4,086 total yards 38TDs
Cam Newton- 4,369 total yards 51TDs

Joe Burrow - 5,004 total yards 51 TDs and has 2 games to go.

Had this debate on the SEC rant. The only measurable stat that beats burrow's is Tebow 55 total tds.

And burrow beats him and everyone else at everything else

Ok you are just making shite up now. Gary got fricking choked up taking about Burrow after the Bama game. How much more excitement do you want?

People want to play victim. Gary said at least 3 times this year regarding burrow, "I've never seen anything like this"

..so much disrespect :sarcasm:

If you ever doubt Gary Danielsons Alabama bias just know that in this very statement in the OP, in talking about the greatest college football players he's ever seen, in referencing great running quarterbacks including Tim Tebow, he utters the words, Blake Sims.

Joe Burrow

Cam Newton

Vince Young

Tim Tebow

AND....

Blake Sims.

Blake.

Sims.

Blake fricking Sims, people! Wake up!

Routinely? You aren't just wrong, you're straight up lying. Just another guy looking for a reaction.

No one who has watched Joe could possibly make that statement.

Nah. Just plain clueless.

A receiver's strike zone is 3 feet by 3 feet at 10 yards from the QB

At 40 yards, the same strike zone is 5 yards by 5 yards - do the geometry.

My thoughts exactly. You get paid to do this Gary. Try to get it right.

And at 40 yards, the WR makes the simple adjustment.

And law of averages will drop the ball into a 3-foot area (distance) one out of five 40 yard throws.

Plus, it's better to underthrow than overthrow. And I can't remember a single overthrown deep ball all year.

Even the underthrows (chase and Marshall in 1st qtr vs UGA) were not horrible, they were barely short but catchable.

With our WRs, that's fine by me.

I hear ya, but an underthrow has to be out of the 5-yard by 5-yard strike zone (at 40 yards)

I can't recall ANY Burrow throws out of that zone.

but we run zone read at times which makes him that harder to defend.

I think he’ll pass Tebows 55 barely but there’s little doubt he’ll get the 113 total yards needed to pass Manziel’s SEC total yardage record as well. So if he sets the passing yardage record, comp% record, TD record and Total offense record while throwing for over 5,000 yards with possibly fewer than 500 attempts in the SEC while facing 6 top 10 opponents, he should not only be considered the greatest SEC QB of alltime but the greatest single season QB nationally and in the discussion for greatest offensive player nationally. Let’s be honest if he played for a blue blood, instead of LSU, he’d already be crowned the greatest ever.

as much pub as he's getting, I still think what he's doing is being under valued by the National media

Of course you’re right, I’ve heard some “experts” say that an argument can be made for Fields and that moron Orlovsky said today I think that Lawrence has been the best QB over the last month or so. Burrow has more than double the offensive production of Fields, who’s supposed to be a duel threat. He has about 1,600 more yards passing than Lawrence. And he’s done this facing a much tougher schedule especially on the defensive side of the ball in the SEC. This isn’t even debatable and I’m glad they keep needling us and him because he feeds off of it like all the greats do.

Joe anticipates receivers breaking open which more than makes up for lack of a howitzer.

Looks like I might have to become a Bengal fan in the near future. Good thing he's a tough ol boy.

He can also read a defense like an NFL offensive coordinator, while on the field, carrying the rest of his arsenal. What a wonderful season it's been. Thanks for the memories Tigers!

he literally heaped praise on Joe every single game. Please name one negative comment Gary said all season about Joe.
