Jayden threw 327 passes last year, that's 133 passes fewer and still has 354 more yards

I don't disagree, but Nussmeir is third behind two Heisman quarterbacks. If he were at Mississippi State or Auburn, they'd think he was a god.

Daniels 2022- 574 plays, 3,798 yards

But you’ll never see people mention that when they’re knocking the Nuss comparisons in year 1

How many 1st round WRs is Nuss throwing to? Jayden had two.

What are you talking about?

Literally half the posters think he’s terrible and talk shite about him non stop and are praying he goes pro. I don’t agree with them but it’s wildly untrue to say no one thinks he’s bad

I think he is bad. He has thrown 133 more passes than Jayden. Jayden had 327 attempts, Nuss has 460. Jayden still managed to throw for 354 more yards, while throwing the ball 133 less attempts.

OP conveniently left out how he has thrown 133 more passes than Jayden and still trails him by 354 yards.

Nuss passer rating is 136.3 before tonight. Jayden ended the year at a 208.0 rating. That trails Jayden by over 70 points.

Wonder how Nuss's #s compare to Jayden's '22 season?

Now account for the pass attempts, completion percentage, turnovers, and the lack of rushing yards

Agree. Get his head straight and he can be as good.as we have ever seen here

He has a top-notch arm, but the best we've ever seen has been absolutely incredible. Never seen a QB do what Burrow did in 2019 and I think Daniels had about the best dual-threat QB season I've ever seen. We just had a miserable defense that didn't help out.

But if he works on his weaknesses, yes, he has great potential (which he has shown at times).

Half the fan base hated Daniels his first season. I don't really count those as fans. The true fan base does not hate Nuss. Is he perfect? No. Not everything is his fault. He does make bad decisions and force throws. But he is a first time starter.

So he sucks because he's not as good as the Heisman Trophy winner who had a historically great season last year?

No he sucks because his passer rating is 136 which is definitively not good.

Please go back and read the OP. He never said Nuss was the best QB in history of LSU. Of course he is lagging both our Heisman winning QB’s in some statistics otherwise he would be in the Heisman Chase as well. He is just saying that in the all time history of LSU QB’s, Nuss is having a pretty historic year statistically and used Daniels comparison to highlight that.

Let's see Jayden do the same with this sorry group of receivers literally the worst group in some time. Aaron Anderson is the best one and puts out the most effort aside from Taylor. Yes Nuss had a couple bad games and head scratching moments but the Oline has been a disappointment and the run game non existent. He needs to clean up a few things but now that Underwear stayed home he's the best QB for us next season .

Have to Agree these Wr's do have a problem getting open but then again Joe Burrow had Jets, Chase and Daniels had Nabers and Thomas. Currently LSU has nothing near that talent at WR.

You are 100% correct, but it also guts OP's argument

He has a lot of yards only because we have thrown so many passes. It doesn't indicate a high level of play from Nuss

And the run game sucked for JD, too. He manufactured the run game when he was here. We had the same scheme/OL issues that we have this year

I don't think he's bad overall but he's been very, very ,VERY bad at times. He's a fine but is limited by his mentality and refusal to work on his technique and accuracy.

He's the same guy we saw against UGA throwing hero balls off his back foot. He just was super lucky that game not to throw multiple picks. He doesn't seem to have improved much since then.

It's just insane some people are still trying to pretend they were right in 2022 by shitting ok an incredibly superior QB in JD.

They would look a LOT better because

but the Oline has been a disappointment and the run game non existent

JD would fix this problem and manufacture a running game, like 22 and 23

In fairness, Daniels was a lot of the running game. So besides his legs Daniels really had no run game either from the running backs.
