Or just move Gameday.

I dont care which one moves. Having them both at the same location and time is idiotic.

A lot of people who go to gameday are going to have no clue about salutes as they arent normally on the PG at 9am on the first Nov home game. Its not about "drunks and football". Its about space for 3 massive events.

To where exactly?

The Quad, Old Front 9, Fieldhouse Lot, Walk On's, Alex Box, Nicholson Gateway site.

We all know that they aren't going to setup in front of the PMAC

Correct. the setup is too big.

They were on the parade ground for this game.

Not being disrespectful. But I always found it kind of arse backwards that LSU would put this event on the same day as LSU/UA.

I understand. It's always on the closest home game prior to Veteran's Day. Which is Alabama.

Quad is too small
Old front 9 they destroyed last time due to the weather, but I heard they were scoping it out yesterday
Fieldhouse Lot- plenty of room, but terrible view
Walkons- Better than Ezra Concert there friday. Not sure about the setup
Box- outside of it? maybe in the parking lot but idk if there is room

I saw a group of three people walking around the quad with a measurement wheel, and over heard them saying "this will be the pit, the sky cam go this direction"

Negative. They do Gameday in a similar sized space at Tennessee.

I just spoke to the Dept of Military Science:

they have coordinated and deconflicted with Gameday and appropriate campus officials

Salutes will take place on the parade ground and cannon salute fired...

This will be a cluster frick. Was going to say the quad, but the clearances wouldn't work. They need to dumb down their Game day broadcast. I loved it from 93-10. Cannot believe LSU basically said screw the vets. LSU was founded as a military school.

When I read this thread for the first time, my initial thought as move it to the quad. Glad it worked out for all parties. I thought they would have a issue with equipment clearance.

They'll just backup the 18 wheelers to the edge of the quad and unload the equipment onto carts to setup.

Our guys out there were told noon

My cousin called facility services and they confirmed
