Hannagrif just said on air that talks are in the works, most likely to move Game Day to an alternate location.
The trucks are in route. This should have been done on Sunday afternoon after it was announced at 10am.

Dude. We get it...they've still got time to determine an alternate location. The trucks can reprogram their GPS from Highland/Dalrymple to Nicholson Extension while sitting in traffic on the bridge and not impact their arrival/setup times.
Salutes is run by a retired volunteer that isn't going to have weekend contact with LSU Athletic Department officials.

Just listened to 104.5 on demand. Charlie said meeting is this afternoon, so we'll know in a matter of hours.

This place can be bad. Be aware that the majority get it. I know I do. My dad was in the ROTC (at the time all freshman had to be), went on to join the Air Force and serve in Vietnam and spent time at an AFB in Germany. So
Anyone know if there is any chance there will be a fly-over before the game? Gives me the chills.

Thanks! So I'm guessing ESPN automatically assumed it would be on the Parade Ground when it was announced Sunday morning.
If its the old front 9 it would be interesting to see what they do. Last time facility services had to lay down new crushed limestone for the semis to unload. But cant recall if it was because of rainfall or not, causing them to do that. Fans pulled up many of the brown wooden posts on Nicholson to get closer to the action. They said it cost like $160 to replace each wooden post with materials and labor.
It was a great atmosphere and I enjoyed it over there, although many fans did not. Nice to see all the tents and people camping out the night before.

I don't think anyone is ignoring that. It is just a nightmare combo of hosting an event on campus during the largest event in Baton Rouge bi-yearly.
It is more likely than not that Gameday is moved and this becomes a non-issue. I like the P-mac is the best option beside the PG but i bet they do the old front 9
edit: welp, i guess not

Yeah no clue how they plan on doing this.
I mean theoretically you CAN. But the sheer noise, drunkeness, etc. will be a major distraction from the ceremony.
And Im interested to see how this affects tailgating.

Thanks for the information. Will be interesting to see how they plan both events and coordination and impacts on tailgating and parking.

I cannot imagine what this is going to look like for the people attending the Salute. If I remember correctly, it is right there on around the flags.
