Given how quickly you can backfill now I’m far less worried about player retention than I was with any other coach firing.

Theres not a single player that matters if we have the wrong coach, and that’s never been more clear to me than it is now.

I hope we keep our young core as much as anyone but we’re LSU, we’re gonna get the guys.

The program is bigger than this week's game. This isn't a video game. It needs as much leadership and cohesion as possible. I can't say that Nuss and Sloan gives that but there's no way that anyone else can say that one needs to be fired and another removed from the team so we can beat Bama. That's ridiculous.

Can we finally stop with the continuous Platooning of receivers after every play? Can we stop playing Bauer Sharp and leave Green in? Create a WR rotation based on drives not after every play. Stop playing a slot receiver who struggles to catch at X.

Don't want Sloan or Hankton to continue being on staff.

Wilson can declare right now that Nuss is hurt and has been playing hurt all season, but he needs time to heal. He will sit for the Bama game but be available if needed.

What to do on the defensive side of the ball is I have no idea, but at least Simpson is not quite the runner that Pavia and Reed are.

You can guarantee Austin Thomas is in charge of this and already all over it

Starting to sound like there is no love lost between Kelly and current players, former players, and recruits.

To be honest, I don’t think we do see an exodus. What guys were going to live and die by Kelly…

This. Plus, Frank Wilson is universally liked by the team and is one of our best recruiters.

But, Kelly did not inspire any player loyalty. There is not 1 player on this team that is waiting to find out where Kelly goes to transfer there nor is there any players quitting because Kelly is no longer here. Now, i'm sure a lot of this hinges on who we hire at HC. If we hire another Kelly, then yeah, i see mass departures.

Like others have said, BK being a twat actually helps us here. No one was playing for him. Obviously have to get a great hire at HC, but no one is following BK.

Or, he can tell Sloan... if we are going to play Nuss, we will stop with RPO's, no more laterals or horizontal passes. Every pass goes downfield."

And if Nuss fails again, take him out by 1st quarter and put in MVB.

Getting a top notch head coach like lane kiffen would solidify keeping all of them home.

You need leadership especially right now. There is no reason to believe MVB will even be on the roster next year.

Nuss won't be here next year and he is regressing.

Nuss isn't winning on the road against a ranked team. You and everyone else already know this. Time to move on. This is a wasted year now anyway.

From the sound of it this may keep more players.

The lack of development occurring has to be alarming. We see regression in every player not named Green or woodland in every player under Kelly for more than a year.

Most good players find this concerning.

The bigger worry is the nature of the game, money at play and how easy it is to transfer. The back channels will be active with certain players but hopefully we can keep our best ones. Oregon really wanted Pickett. Durham is an OU legacy. Who wouldn’t want Green? Hopefully Frank and Raymond can keep them here.

Try to keep a mass of exodus of transfers from taking place.

I don't think anyone was staying purely for Kelly, so we should be ok. Transfers will happen when a new coach is named.

Durham may leave, seeing that he is no longer RB1

QB1 for the taking is not a reason to believe he would stay? I think that’s good reason.

When Coach is fired, Transfer portal should only be open to players with no NiL or no playing time. If NiL is being collected the player should be tied to program till released or forced to pay back all NiL money.
