Last year ESPN shite themselves because they had that video of Henry doing that 1 rep of 500lbs. Buga's throwing up 405 like it's just the bar.

Victor Jones (while no where near the talent and star) could rep 500+ like that. Guy had serious leg strength. As did Andolsek.....Big E was even stronger in the squat than Victor.

Andolsek's 1 rep was well north of 700.

Very impressive don't get me wrong but I had a buddy that was no where near the size of Fournette that would do reps with 405. He was around 190 but was strong as an ox in his legs and back. He would punch out 8 to 10 reps with ease.

What's even more impressive is he just keeps going. He was doing reps win I pressed play and kept doing them until I left the page.

Victor could also do 120 on Nicholson like a boss, as well. Burning off "bad gas" of course.

He needs to lower the bar position, look further down for a more neutral head postion and adjust his wrists.
He needs Rippetoe Form

Agreed, you would think the LSU strength coaches would show Fournette and our other players the exact proper squat form, including bar position, proper arch in the back, keeping your knees from ever getting out in front of your toes etc.

Rippetoe would be an excellent squat form to follow. Using Ripptoe's form would probably have fournette repping out with 500lbs.

The high bar puts more emphasis on the quads. Also helps more with explosive training than low bar, but thanks coach

High bar let's one go deeper.

So yea, if you're going for a higher weight, feel free to go lower with the bar.
