4 Tickets for Sale for A&M Game

Posted by ShaqTIGAH on 10/15/24 at 9:40 am
I have 4 tickets for sale for the game at Kyle Field. The tickets are from LSU in Section 411.
I primarily used Mint to keep tabs on current value of accounts and upcoming bills. Has anyone found a good alternative for that feature? I started using Quicken Simplifi, but I haven't enjoyed it and importing of data from Mint threw everything off.

No Kate Middleton Investigation?

Posted by ShaqTIGAH on 3/11/24 at 6:43 pm
Wife (no pics) asked if I had heard of the Kate Middleton conspiracy theories. I had not, so I (of course) immediately came to the OT thinking the OT had already figured it out.

What says the OT? According to the WSJ, a purportedly altered photo has some thinking she may be severely ill.

What says the OT?
True. KPRC still doing their best interruption of the WM Open though
At lease one person reported shot thus far during Spanish service. Developing story.

There was a shooting in Shreveport almost 24 hours ago: LINK.

I came to the OT to read about it, but there was no thread. What gives?

re: AmEx Checking Account

Yes. On purchases using your debit card. I believe it's 1 point for every $2. Not great, but better than nothing. It is intriguing because I have a monthly expense I usually put on my AmEx that will soon move to a 3% fee for credit cards, but no fee for debit cards.

AmEx Checking Account

I'm considering enrolling in the new checking account product from AmEx that includes a 1% interest rate and allows you to earn membership reward points on debit card use. Has anyone enrolled or have any experience with the product? Only downside I see is that there is no in-person banking, but my use of that at my current bank is negligible.

Baseball at Texas A&M

Looking for tickets to watch the Saturday game in College Station. Anyone have any leads? Appears the ticket office doesn't offer away games for baseball, and all 3 games are sold out for A&M.

Boston Weekend Trip in September

Posted by ShaqTIGAH on 1/29/23 at 5:04 pm
Wife and I wanted to take a trip with no kids for her birthday in September. Settled on Boston. Send us your recommendations on places to stay, things to do, etc. Fly in on a Thursday and the Sox are hosting the Yanks. Will try to make that work, but no plans other than that.
Interesting thoughts.

Like OP, I'm also interesting in opening a brokerage account, but I'm also looking for advice/guidance in the meantime. I have a 401(k) from an old employer that I'd like to start with, and eventually open a brokerage account in a few months.

Have been meeting with someone from NW, who has encouraged me to go with one of their products for the 401(k) rollover. I'll look at that information soon, but I've also heard Charles Schwab is great if you want to do it on your own. I'll also check out Fidelity as it seems to receive good reviews in this thread.
