Y'all are acting like he called the defense a bunch of scrubs. All he said was the step up in speed from college to NFL wasn't as much as he expected. That includes the speed in which the offense is ran. Not just defense

Love how in the ESPN article he says he's always stayed humble except he literally just said the game will be easy.

Clown. The real NFL defenses are going to eat him alive.

9 carries for 31 yards against nobodies. Yep. Real "easy".

They always do!

Get off of LF he's a great guy and player. Does he need to choose his words better, sure but it's nothing else really.

Maybe because it's easy for someone who's physically ready for it? It's not like he's having to transition to get bigger or faster...

He didn't even play against a single starting defensive lineman from the Patriots.

1. The first teamers got the night off. The players making up the starting defense were: Deatrich Wise, Woodrow Hamilton, Darius Kilgo, Adam Butler, Elandon Roberts, Harvey Langi, Jonathan Freeny, Cyrus Jones, Justin Coleman, Jordan Richards and Damarius Travis. The starters got plenty of work in the joint sessions this week and playing in the game simply wasn’t necessary. There are still three more preseason games and a full week of joint practices with Houston coming up.

He's a RB, it IS the easiest transition. You just get the ball and fricking run.

So you are saying he faced a defense better than New Orleans?

Heh, funny but no. Wise has some potential, but I doubt he will ever be as good as Cam Jordan. The secondary was terrible, and both Richards and Cyrus Jones are in line to be cut.

That wasn't a smart thing to say. This will follow him for the entire season now and when he gets stuffed (it will happen) people will bring his statement up.

"I've never let the game get bigger than me and I've always stayed humble."

I think that I'm still trying to wrap around that one.

Well it's not that hard to make another statement next week. He can easily say, last week was easy, this week was much more tough competition and I expect that in the NFL. People take simple words out of context so he should be a little more choice with his words, everyone is listening and it's sad but even LSU fans are putting the negetive spin on it.

We have some seriously disturbed fans. I probably wouldn't want my son playing here either, I mean just look at how y'all talk about the team and then legendary players once they leave. This guy gave everything he had to LSU, and this is how y'all speak about him. Freakn sad really.

It's not all the big of a difference to be completely honest. Especially for an elite athlete like fournette. He also might have an easier time not running against 9 in the box every snap.
