I mean he threw for like 4k yards in 1 season at LSU.... this shouldn't surprise anybody who can see past their nose.

Im amazed at a certain demographic that is losing their minds because he might make a squad. Instead of wishing him well, they are doubling down on how bad he is. Just look at the posters doing it...

In looking at JDs jr year, that was a reasonable take. Jd played great his Sr year.
A severe injury, a terrible OL with a terrible OL coach, combined with a terrible OC severely hindered him. The book hasn't been closed on him. He has an NFL arm when healthy and may be much better for the NFL than the college game. The book is still open on his potential ..even compared to JD in the league. Wouldn't close it just yet. He may not make it...but im not pulling against him. There was a certain hall of fame qb that got drafted in 7th round that did ok with a strong arm and lack of mobility.

I'm rooting for Nuss, but its like some of yall don't understand how NFL preseason works. Its a joke. Most teams rest their starters and stars because they don't want to risk the injury. Preseason games are glorified scrimmages that the NFL somehow turned into meaningful games.

I think everyone realizes the obvious, numbnuts. That said, not many rookie, late-round draft choices get the opportunity to play a full game with the added benefit of showcasing their skills under the pressure of a full game.
Nuss obviously played in a flawed system with a seriously flawed coach having an injury that forced him into playing in ways that he was uncomfortable and in pain. The kid has talent and I, for one, and I think I write for the thoughts of many, would love to see him succeed. Until his injury and the awful coaching, he never complained, did his best under difficult circumstances, loves LSU and was all-LSU while in high school well before NIL became the leading reason to play here.
Yeah, I'm rooting for him and know he's stepping into a spotlight that will also amplify his flaws, so it's up to him and his mental toughness to force KC to make a difficult decision about their roster even more difficult, while improving his stock for trade to a team that could really use him as the #2 QB and understudy.
*Just a reminder that Tom Brady was a mid-6th round draft pick and that six QB's were drafted before he was. Not saying Nuss is the next Brady, but it proves that heart and sheer will of personality can overcome initial perceptions and skepticism. I hope Nuss shows something great in this opportunity for him. I think most LSU fans are with me on this.

Can you explain to me what you mean by "healthy"? Do you realize that he still hasn't had the procedure to remove the cyst correct?
