Would you rather play a big name program like FSU, Nebraska, USC or UCLA in the Fiesta this year?
Yes. USC please.

It ain't about the helmets and jersies it's about the team that's in them. UCF is a good football team. Are they top 4? Probably not. Top ten? Possibly. Top 20? Definitely.

The American Conference Champion versus a Big 10 team? That question answers itself. Especially since UCF had to win 56-41 over Memphis.

But I put nothing past Special Ed, after sitting in Nashville, watching him piss away a win over Notre Dame.

I heard that Greedy may sit the game out. Has this been confirmed? What other defensive backs and linebackers are out?

Shouldn't it also matter that they lost their QB?

This pretty much sums up the mentality of the less informed fans. You personally may be facetious with your second quote, but most of the ones complaining wouldn't be:

quote:

No - as these teams aren't bowl eligible. Would I rather play Michigan, Ohio State, Washington, Texas, or Penn State? Absolutely. LSU-UCF will be a dud. They'll bring maybe 10,000 "fans" max. They are a directional school with no history or meaningful fan support. It really is a lose-lose for LSU.

I legitimately can't tell you what conference UCF is in. Is Charlie Strong still coaching them?

This should be enough motivation to destroy their dreams:

UCF is a great team who plays up to their competition. They may not have the stars on the recuiting sites, but they are loaded with talent and it shows.

I hope our team takes them seriously.

You don’t get to play the “big boys” when you lose 3 games. If anything, UCF and their 27 game win streak is probably upset they don’t even get to play a top 10 team.

All those "big" don't have enough wins (6) to qualify for the bowl game, don't matter the NY6.

You can still pay the video game.

USC vs LSU would still be a more attractive game to me, despite their record.

There’s zero to gain by playing UCF.

LSU has far more to gain by playing UCF in the Fiesta Bowl than they would in an 11 am game vs a big ten also ran. The game will get far greater publicity than a lesser bowl against a bigger name would.

We will be playing them with our ‘B’ team

I hope we take this game seriously because they sure will. They will look at it as a turning point for their program.

I’d be much more excited had it been Michigan.... prob would have gone to game.
We’ve never played them in football.
Think about that.

UCf ... not so much. I’ll save that 2-3k and watch on TV.

All the injured players from the TAMU game. When you’re down 5 starters and Greedy sits, that’s not good

I don't understand this debate. Nobody really gives a shite outside of the playoffs anyway
