Dude the man rode a wave of momentum created by Saban. Do you really think this buffoon of a coach could have come in after Dinardo and have this illustrious record. You people are delusional or retarded or both

Miles turned OK state around and took them to the first bowl game in decades

Saban doesn't get credit for the 100plus wins no matter how much you try to make it that way. Miles let the game pass him by, but that wasn't always the case.

Miles firing could have been prevented but he was unwilling to change . He seen ( like the rest of us) his/Cams offensive game plans weren't working but his stubbornness to change cost him. That and clock management. He knew his job was on the line yet he started this season with the same philosophy......if he's looking for someone to blame, he needs to look in the mirror

I'd almost rather struggle with a new coach than endure anymore Miles' offensive, time management and ST woes.

All LSU needs is the Aranda style of linebacker. We get some top 10 linebackers in this defense and LSU's defense with a little more top notch recruiting on the line will be on par with bama or better!! LSU is doing fine. LSU will be fine just wait and see what happens the rest of the year and go from there. I promise you LSU has had a list and was probably putting feelers out there since last year. We keep Aranda and that side is taken care of. We simply need a good head coach that makes this team play as one and they have fun doing it. Get a real good OC that fits our current and future direction and LSU will be fine. GA doesn't have the talent LSU does man. No one but Bama can say that. AND IF LSU can gain some national momentum watch the frick out.

It's his first season you frickhead.

Christ does anyone here understand that coaching changes do not instantly guarantee success?

Nebraska fired Pelini after going 9-3.

They're ranked top 10 and about to be 6-0 right now

Yes. It's what he was best at.

Smart is proving to be a below average game day coach and yet to be determined recruiter.
Georgia is doing great in recruiting currently. You say he's a "yet to be determined" recruiter. If you can't make a final judgement on his recruiting skills, how can you on his game day coaching skills? The same amount of time has passed to see both on display.

You might be right about Kirby being a bad hire, but it's too premature to make that determination. Georgia is still recruiting very well and it's half way through his first season. If you're making this much of a knee jerk reaction to Georgia, prepare yourself. Next year for us may not be very productive. I expect you to be one of the melters along with other fans who aren't prepared for the possible short term negatives when making a coaching change. This is a new era for us and Georgia. You have to give it more time to make a full judgement.

Right, everything's going straight to Hell, and you want to maintain the
status quo. Obviously a Hillary voter!

Is that you nick?

Yeah those 8, 9 and 10 win years really created a hell of a wave. The records you fricksticks bash Miles for (10-3, 9-3, 8-4) are the exact same records saban had in his five years at LSU, except the National Championship year.

If Miles win totals year to year sucked, like so many of you like to proclaim, so did sabans. Sabans teams won 8 games, 10 games, 8 games, 13 games and 9 games year to year. That's really impressive!

We might screw up the hire, but for right now the team is playing better under O than it did for Miles/Cam. It was time for Les to go.

I fully expect losses from any coach who comes here regardless of talent. Any coach we hire needs to be a guy we're willing to accept will have a few losses on the way to getting where we want to be.

Honestly, I think O's done so well at USC and now here (so far) because we already part of the team. The atmosphere may have been altered, there may be changes, but he's already been working with them for an extended period. He knows the team, it's strengths and weaknesses, has relationships with the players, etc. A new coach won't have any of that, but it helps him get the players he needs, the coaches he needs, and stay afloat on the built-in talent to stay competitive while we rebuild.

Tennessee was a dumpster fire when Fulmer left, and UGA just did what UGA always does and got their "statement loss" for the year that serves as a reminder to everyone how good UGA COULD BE if they weren't genetically pre-disposed to blowing it every year.

Georgia with it's status nationally, should have never hired a cordinator with O head coaching experience. Yes hiring a coach is a Crap shoot outside of Saban and perhaps the douche Urban.
