For all the stupidity of Alleva, his downfall will come from making the right call

That, ladies and gentleman, is the definition of irony.
Mistake, mistake, mistake, mistake, and now we take him out for actually being at the head when making the appropriate move.
Alleva was not chatting with ADIDAS.
Alleva was not caught on phone tap.
Alleva did not offer sweet deal of a currently unknown nature.
Alleva did not refuse to talk to his bosses when requested.
The whole story, as it will be written, is oh so amusing.

Will Wade has not been proven “guilty” of anything. All that LSU has done is show that they will not back their coach and players when the twitter mob/talking heads assemble agaisnt them.

Asking Wade to talk in person in a manner that could incriminate both Wade and Alleva is not the right move, mate.

His downfall will be his stupidity. It really doesn't matter if the last chapter was the right call or not. He will be judge on the totality of his tenure.

I'm still skeptical of this. Just because Dellenger said it doesn't make it true.

That's sort of what happens when you are in a position that requires a certain amount of credibility and you've killed any amount you might have had.

Where was Alleva when the news broke Wade was recorded by FBI wire tap a year ago? If Wade is guilty and he coached 30 games this season wouldn't Alleva be wrong for allowing him to coach an entire season?

Arguably the new leaks are worse.

Got news for everyone. If the current BOS is allowed to pick his replacement, things will get worse on the AD front.

what are you calling "the right call"?

OP is spot on and will get sh*t on by the posters that love what Wade has accomplished in so short a time to accept that he screwed us over.

what makes you have such an opinion?
i believe that some more perspective would be helpful

Man why don’t you find a treadmill and try to burn some of that spare tire off?

quote:I beg to differ. OP can't see the forest for the trees. Wade is great, but he made a big mistake. The proof is in the pudding that Alleva didn't make the right call. Wade was young and naive. Alleva should have explained to him not to do this stuff on the phone.
OP is spot on
