So, exactly which one of these violates any NCAA rules? Exactly what infractions has Wade committed?
Has the NCAA done any investigation?
What FBI indictment is Wade under?

In a legal proceeding, court or trial or investigation of wrong doing, before any sanctions or punishment can be administered there must be evidence of guilt. Followed by a hearing/trial in which an individual is given the opportunity to defend his/her self against any allegations or evidence. As of right now, there is absolutely no evidence that proves Will Wade did anything illegal or violated any NCAA rules. And I mean none. Only through speculation can anyone claim he has. Suspending Wade and holding Smart out was the wrong things to do.

all valid questions

my response is then why is Coach Wade REPORTEDLY not cooperating with his supervisors to get this all cleared up?

It wasn't the right call, it was the only call under the circumstances. However, I don't think it is ironic, I think it was highly predictable. Worst AD ever!

That, ladies and gentleman, is the definition of irony.

Mistake, mistake, mistake, mistake, and now we take him out for actually being at the head when making the appropriate move.

Alleva was not chatting with ADIDAS.

Alleva was not caught on phone tap.

Alleva did not offer sweet deal of a currently unknown nature.

Alleva did not refuse to talk to his bosses when requested.

The whole story, as it will be written, is oh so amusing.

Right things can be done in wrong ways, so it can still be a mistake. The ends don't justify the means. Enter Joe Alleva. He still sucks.

Letting a criminal off the hook because of a lack of evidence is not NEARLY as bad as convicting an innocent person.

OP is spot on and will get sh*t on by the posters that love what Wade has accomplished in so short a time to accept that he screwed us over.

This board seems to be populated with nothing but liberals, free speech and opposing points of view are not to be tolerated, you are either full on anti Alleva and backing Wade or get the hell off this board. Pretty pathetic that they are so threatened by people that think differently.

If, as reported, Scott Woodward is likely to come here, your post is garbage.

Asking Wade to talk in person in a manner that could incriminate both Wade and Alleva is not the right move, mate.

Neither is publicly throwing gas on the fire after your basketball program’s first NCAA tourney win in a decade

No. Suspending the coach was not the right move.

It was bullshite. If it was something sanctionable, then the damage was done. If it wasn't, then you wait for the facts to come out.

This is akin to the entire risk-averse culture fostered under him as AD. I'm not saying some of it doesn't predate him, for sure, but the joke around the football program is that while Alabama is our chief threat on the football field, our own compliance department is clearly #2. Not a partner in the process, but an adversary.

This is par for the course for Alleva who threw his own lacrosse team under the bus - basically destroyed those kids' lives over the word of a stripper. I mean, before the investigation was even really underway.

When the facts exonorated ALL OF THEM and exposed this seriously damaged accuser (who later attempted to kill one domestic partner and successfully did kill another), the damage to the young men had already been done and not the least of which by their own AD, Joe fricking Alleva.

So, I don't want a guy that excuses or facilitates misconduct. But Joe Alleva isn't that guy. He's a handwringing, navel gazing, extraordinarily poor decisionmaker. And not a guy upon whom you can count in a fight.

Are you really trying to spin alleva as the good guy? Lsu in the short and long term will be better. As university and fan base!
