Without getting into a massive political debate, I'll just say that the priority of those in power are not in the best interest of athletics or the university as a whole. They will push their agenda long before they even consider the best person for the job.

Alleva's downfall, if it comes, AND IT SHOULD, will come as a result of his habitual premature actions, and a long history of getting it wrong in the process.
There is an old saying, "Measure twice. Cut once"
Joe Alleva measures haphazardly once, then cuts and trims and whittles and cuts again. Finally, he shows you the mess of carpentry, and tells you it's art.
Amazingly, some here still believe him.

He should've been out before now. The Jimbo Fisher (twice)/Tom Herman/Ed Orgeron fiasco should've been the end of Alleva at LSU. Then he goes and gives a contract extension to one of the worst women's basketball coaches we've ever had.
