Fondest why I hate Tulane memories

Pulling against SEC topic got me thinking.
The early 80's was the peak of Tulane hatred, and it was fun. My dad hated Tulane more than Bama and in the Vince Gibson years he lost his mind.
Outside of that, i remember the wheel barrow races and the fight that ended the game in TS. Probably the best fight between teams that i have ever seen. Does anybody have this video?.
Hot Rod Williams in basketball and Rick Jones baseball.
I'd like to hear some stories so I can share with my dad.

You remember Gus Piazza? He was equipment manager under jim smith at LSU when Charlie Mac was coach. He and his sister Margaret ran Phil’s Oyster Bar on Government.
Margaret was a Tulane fan. After we lost to them in 1973 the boys turner her VW upside down.

My dad grew up in Metairie and went to LSU in 69-early 70s.
One of my favorite sayings of his is:
Ole Miss is nothing but a bunch of rich New Orleans kids whose daddies couldn't buy their way into Tulane.

I have a bunch of friends that are Tulane fans and all of them except one are LSU fans also. And modern day Tulane fans aren't like LSU fans or Tulane fans of old. No Tulane fan loses sleep or has a bad day if Tulane loses to North Texas or South Alabama.

Was with my Dad in the North End Zone handicap section right on the field. The funniest sight was some overweight EBR Sherif's deputies waddling down the field to the South end zone to try and stop it.

Private school people have a strong need for someone to look down on to try to establish their imaginary superior position. Otherwise, the reality of paying five times the tuition and knowing the State schools are using the same textbooks (and wrote many of them) is too much to bear. The old joke about how you will know a person is a Harvard graduate is not really a joke. They have a real need to do that. So that's where LSU fits in the Tulane universe.
Career wise, private schools are 'who you know' and public schools are 'what you know'. Go to employers that hire on the basis of who has friends already working there and you will find it stuffed with private school grads. Think Federal government agencies. Washington DC employs vast numbers of Ivy League types. Which explains a lot.
