This menas a lot for Brian Kelly, who came to LSU because he said he wanted to beat Nick Saban - he said that's the reason he left Notre Dame. And already he has scored a victory in a game where there were numerous questionable calls on the Saban side, and brilliant, and I mean life changing calls on the LSU side, including the game winner

If he’s lost Finebaum he’s lost the war.

For him to say there were numerous questionable calls on bamas side tells you it was pretty bad

Seems far fetched. Beating Saban is one thing but uprooting your family and changing HC jobs for an opp to beat Saban? Cmon meow.

I happened to walk out with a Bama fan last night and we talked for a while. The fan base seems to be starting to feel the same thing.

People second guessing the 2-pt conversion decisions are dumb. Both were the right call under the circumstances.

All dynasties eventually come to an end

NIL & The Portal have completely changed the game. All those 4 and 5* guys that used to bide their time at Bama to get their chance aren’t sitting around anymore. Old guard like Saban are going to be challenged with this concept

Bama is definitely not as dominant as a few years ago but let’s not pretend they’re not going to be a perennial contender as long as Saban is there. They just won it all in 2020 and were runner up last year.

It's not just beating Saban. It is winning a natty. But more times than not you have to go through Saban

The result of this game isn't why people are starting to lean that way. People are seeing the most poorly coached Bama team in 10+ years. Ridiculous amount of penalties and mistakes this year. It's only natural that they'd think that the head coach is having issues.

Paul not only saying that but acknowledging the wild arse officiating in the process of it is really telling. I know that shite hurt like a mf to say, too.

no one said he is done. they are saying it's starting to end. it's not going to be a long process from here.

fast forward to next year - all his superstars are gone. will it be the 3rd year in a row they don't make it to the championship? unheard of during his rule.

Nobody is saying that they are going to suck, but the dominance is coming to an end. And I've said it on here for years, if Georgia and LSU were to land competent coaches who are able to keep their in state talent at home, Alabama will fall back to the pack. They NEED those out of state recruits. And if they slip a little nationally, LSU and the Texas schools have a geographical advantage over Bama for the Texas recruits.

How many years has Saban dominated college football? If he was smart he would hang it up on his terms but he probably will slowly fade and then die shortly after retiring... where have we seen that before?
