Now all of the media will start talking about how crazy it is to let him go.. record, top 10 wins.. blah blah.. after spending years calling him inept.

Well if Feldman said it, it must be so.

Good for O. If he didn’t get the money it would likely go to BLM or some other woke nonsense

If they were going to pay him the whole buy out there would have been no negotiations that were going on last week. I can't believe this is accurate

The negotiations may have been about a confidentiality agreement.

Thanks Woodward for giving him such a HUGE raise and buyout when it was absolutely not necessary.

I'm suspusicouls of Feldman being correct on this. We spent an awful lot of time on this and if O has all the money then that means ED bent SJW scotty over the table.

Do NDA hold up if your summoned to testify? Probably should know that but, you know.
Also we might have also agreed to spread it out over like 8 years or something.

I’m glad we’re nearing the end of the O era. He obviously isn’t a good fit for LSU.
But, why wouldn’t he get his full buyout? He and LSU did agree to the buyout. They did sign a binding contact didn’t they?
The Title XI issue has been tossed around, but that’s far from settled. So it’s certainly not something LSU can leverage at the moment. To try to do so is stupid from a strategic standpoint because it would give leverage to the plaintiffs in their lawsuit.
Trying to negotiate a hiring package with a new head HC after welching on the agreement you made with the previous coach who won a NC doesn’t instill much confidence in an attorney who is a sports agent working on a % fee schedule.
My educated guess would be that what was negotiated was a payout schedule. Unless he broke some clause in the contract LSU owes him the full amount and should pay it. Otherwise, he tells LSU to pound sand and his attorney files suit. O wins based on contract terms and LSU still owes him the balance with interest and attorney fees added.
