Fans at Tiger Stadium in disbelief, “WTF is he doing” going for two?” Then pandemonium!

My cousin was at the game, showed me a video of LSU fans all freaking out when LSU lined up for two point conversion. “WTF is he doing” said one. Seemingly everyone was sort of questioning LSU coach’s decision. The stadium suddenly grew quiet, kind of in shock at seeing what LSU was about to attempt, then pandemonium seconds later when LSU made it. Crazy, insane, from disbelief to ecstasy, nothing will ever measure up to this game Saturday night!

I was watching at a friends house who is a bama fan. When we scored I said I hope he goes for two. We lined up and I thought "oh shite, he's doing it". Winning the game had way more of a potential impact than losing in that situation. NOBODY gave us a chance and it was worth going for it and shutting them all up. Bigger risk was not going for it imo.

Our group was split right down the middle, and we were for playing for OT too (kneeling with :21 left).

I felt the refs had our number all night and I felt we lost to FSU on a fluke PAT miss. I also felt like Bama was finally clicking.

If we didn’t convert I could have lived with it, but I am damn glad we won.

CBK put his nuts on the table and you must respect him for it. He learned from Florida State that when the game is on the line to not leave a moment like this in the hands of the special teams unit. Give the ball to your big time players and let them make big time plays to win the game.

Right, Bryce Young is too good, tbh. Going-for-2 was the right decision!

I posted in the gameday thread at the time that it was the right decision even if they didn't make it.

Kelly took the refs out of the equation with his decision. Also, the D had no time to rest since we scored so fast. And he new he had the perfect play the Gumps hadn’t seen. Brilliant move!

Our group watching on TV was the exact opposite. As soon as Daniels cruised in on one play, "go for two" came out of everyone's mouth. Bama was reeling. Win it there and don't let them touch the ball again.

Idk where he was but the section I was in was all for it when the offense stayed on the field.

I immediately supported going for two.

It was the right call.

I was one of the ones questioning it, but everything happened so fast in OT my emotions were borderline schizophrenia anyway.

My buddy said jokingly “LSU should go for two” then was in shock when LSU actually did.

Nobody should be surprised. He said after the FSU game that he wishes he’d gone for 2. We all knew it was coming.

I said the same thing.

At best, we were going to HAVE to go for two in the second OT, AND we were going to HAVE to do it first. So the game was likely to come down to a 2-pt conversion anyway.

I liked the call. I didn’t like our chances going back and forth with bama in OT and had flashbacks of missing the extra point against fsu.

I was watching at home and as soon as he lined up just repeatedly yelled to my wife

“WHATEVER HAPPENS HERE, I LOVE THIS CALL!”

I figured they’d kick it after the timeout since bama had time to regroup. Nope big dick Brian does not leave it to the refs to decide.

What was so amazing was LSU fans in their hearts wanting LSU to go for two but not having the courage to actually mean it. BBK, Balsy Brian Kelly did!

My group was 100% go for two before overtime started if Bama scored first and kicked the extra point. They had created some momentum and had run a ton of plays on our D. Take the shot now. We were playing with House money going into this game and that might be the only chance you have to win it.

Absolutely nothing to question.

We would have had to go right back on offense first and if we get another TD they then have 4 downs and the refs to get a TD. If we don't get the TD then a TD beats us.

Then if it goes to a 3rd OT you have to go for 2 anyways. I rather only us get to go for 2 and not both being forced.
