Everyone is already writing off the season as a failure. Many people on here have LSU losing to SC this week, even on the SecR. However, I have seen multiple times when LSU looks to have their back against the wall, then all of sudden they showcase their talent.

Just recently in ‘22 and ‘23 we lost both openers as we know, and looked terrible in both. In 22 a few weeks later we beat a really experienced Miss State team, and in 23 we destroyed MSU and beat Missouri on their home field not too long after it looked like the season was lost. Heck, in ‘22 we knocked off bama and were in the playoff picture in late November.

The sky is not falling, there is way more talent coming. Is there questions about this team? Absolutely. However until proven otherwise, history showcases LSU will showcase the talent discrepancy against SC this week, and have a great shot of knocking off Ole Miss. if that happens USC will be in the rear view mirror.

It’s a major over reaction to a game against an FCS opponent.

I’m fine if people want to overreact on October 13th, but it’s too damn soon

Oh, I agree, but can we just NOT have our backs to the wall for once?

Exactly. When was the last time Ole Miss beat LSU in tiger stadium? Especially at night?

South Carolina, and UCLA are all inferior in terms of talent. IF and that’s a big IF, LSU doesn’t shoot their own selves in the foot they should win comfortably. However, that is why the games are played.

The greatest college football coach of all time said we are not that bad. Yet, some people on here expect us to lose 5 games this year. It. Is. Not. Happening.

BK tripping once again on his metaphorical d!ck in the season opener did dampen optimism for the season. If the team cannot beat USC how will it fare in the SEC?

It's funny when the people who predict 9-3 or 8-4 in the offseason panic when we lose a game.

You're not wrong but you are also not in a place that functions on patience and logic.

It's the LSU catastrophe syndrome in full swing.

LSU has some major bitchez for fans, that's for sure.

It’s not a failure. But it’s a frustrating historical fact that we have sucked in Sept this decade. And there’s no reason for it.

It may not be falling, I agree, and most likely we still go 9-3 or 8-4.....but here is what gets me....In year 3, I can't look at this team and think, man, we are only a few players away. Our defense is a whole rebuild, and our offense is losing 4 starters on the line. They do have Nuss coming back, if he stays.

I think you are going to find that is legit a top team. What is more concerning is the way we played against Nichols....that and the fact that we have now lost our best RB and our best DL. Both a position of need.

Weren’t you just on the recruiting board squealing about a loss being detrimental to recruiting?

Without writing a book, I would consider the entire team a rebuild until we're
repeatedly talking about Special Teams & "playmakers" on Special Teams. Talent for a stocked team overflowing into ST's is a way off. I'll enjoy the rebuild, LSU will be dangerous with a punchers chance until then.

This is about the fairest assessment of this team you can get.

Yea, and they didn’t make the college football playoff in either year.

That is not going to fly this year. You aren’t making anyone feel any better right now
