Mulkey wasn't rude. If you watch the video clip, she actually winked at the guy. She is just brutally honest about everything. And the world we live in now....cupcakes and creampuffs can't deal with no-nonsense people. It hurts their feelings. Especially if it's a woman. Saban never got called out...and he was savage at times.

Man, frick that. The reporter framed the question as if the past two seasons have been abject failures because of Elite 8 losses. She was clearly sticking up for herself and her team.

Well, he did get criticized at least once that I can remember. After the opener in 2018 I believe the post game interview reporter asked him if he decided whether Tua or Hurts would start the rest of the season and he had that quip about "I'm not going to so quit asking" and I remember there being a mild stir in sports media about Saban being disrespectful to a black female reporter with that remark.
It didn't last long in the media but it did happen. I do find it funny that SAS of all people, who made his entire name by going on disrespectful rants about various players, is calling someone rude.

Politeness doesn't exist between those lines on the pitch, court, or field. If you've never gotten your arse chewed by a coach, have you ever really played any sports? Some can turn it off after the game, some can't. I never heard any of them going after Saban. Why is that any different?

I get the impression he meant that it was terrible not making it to the final 4 meaning to be that close and miss out. I think they both were a little confused by what each other was asking and answering.
