I'm not sure why the "criticism" bothers you so much. Who cares what other people say? I promise you BK and the players couldn't possibly care less what anyone else thinks of their choice of sideline beverages.

I walked a round of golf the other day in similar temperatures. Not criticizing, but it is hard to understand why all this was needed for the players. If they were playing up north in 15 to 20 degree weather, maybe I could see it.
You can definitely relate. An amateur golfer playing a round of golf that pretty much makes you an expert,

Sounds like Tiger Broth could be promoted by Perkins in a huge NIL deal. Hot tiger broth-for cold blooded killers.

My “we got a badass over here” alarm just went off.

y friend on the team told me Perkins wants to be nicknamed Hot Chocolate. Apparently he drank a whole pot of it and then went crazy on the field.
If this were true, they better be putting hot chocolate on the sidelines in September - in Baton Rouge! Hell, in the dugouts in May for that matter.

I don’t understand the criticism. You do what you need to do for your team.

Go walk a round of golf in below freezing Temps when you have the flu, dumbass.

once chugged a whole gallon of hot cocoa on my buddys roof. Then I jumped in the pool, swam to the bottom, puked down the drain.
I came up and someone threw a trash can at my head. The sunova bitch missed and hit this ol girl behind me who was chicken fighting.
Good times.

Agree the criticism is bad. I do have an idea. Why not put that big ole pot of gumbo they had been using at basketball games on the sideline for players to eat out of. Wonder where that thing is?

One of my best friends has been an athletic trainer (and assistant athletic director) for almost 30 years and he said for those making fun of the broth... "Brian Kelly is playing 3D chess, while everyone else is playing checkers." My friend is also an Aggie.

What cordial did the gallon of hot chocolate have in it?
Posted on 11/15/22 at 6:58 am to dstone12
Kelly explained it all in his presser yesterday. Committed one faux pas, said he wanted clam chowder instead of chicken broth. Clam chowder? I have now placed him on double secret probation. Had he said seafood gumbo he would have been legend ... but he'll get there.

Remind me, what part of the Arky game was played in below freezing temps? It was sunny and well above freezing the whole game. If the training staff thinks all this is best, fine. Bot LOL at all the people trying to make it out to be like the Ice Bowl in Green Bay.

I was 3 Buffalo Traces in when I posted that. It's a completely made up story to add to the absurdity of debating about football players having hot chocolate on the sideline.
Not gonna lie, it made my drunk self laugh when I read it back.

Hey wait … Perkins… Goat.
You may be on to something here.

I have no doubts that the nutrition staff did their due diligence and made the right the call on what best to have on the sidelines to battle the cold conditions. I just hope none of the players have a stomach like mine and coffee and cocoa lights the fuse for a good anal evacuation.
