It sucks. Nothing collegiate or sports about it.

Yall reach so damn far. Nothing collegiate or sports about a font style.

Can you list the appropriate "sports fonts?"

Wait...are you suggesting you dont think fonts reflect different things?

Thats literally why there are different fonts and schools spend millions picking one.

Geaux font is a vestigial leftover from the worst logo LSU ever had.

Keep the eye, keep the shade on the field numbers, change the end zones back to late 80s design.

Why didn't you list the appropriate sports fonts then?

I remember when one end zone was LSU in p&g and the opponent's was painted and marked on the other...I liked that

I remember those well and used to look forward to busting out of the dark walkway into the bright lights of the field and see that glorious combination of green grass, bright stadium lights, and purple/gold and the opponents' colors. To a kid it was amazing!
But why give publicity to the opponent when national TV time is so precious to continually present "The Brand" to national audiences and potential recruits. Let them only see purple and gold!

Does anyone have examples of which design they would like, and can you share the before and after of whatever the numbers difference is?

I hope this is posted with some awareness of the level of ridiculousness.

"Geaux Font is characterized by a heavy, extended (wide) sans-serif design featuring strong, squared-off block letters with sharp, angular corners, projecting a bold, athletic, and spirited aesthetic."

Maybe if LSU had chosen an Olde English inspired font you might have a case, but these are block letters..........

Geaux font is awesome
I like Geaux font too, but not for the yard line markers.

Need those to go back to traditional.
