Fresh meat in the freezer.

Healthier than buying overpriced processed meat at the store.

Where society has fallen is exemplified by your post. Someone who "hate people" because they disagree or criticize them. Your message is a perfect example of the problem these days.

. I have explained it very clearly on the difference but either you aren't seeing the messages or don't want to understand the difference.
But you also made the analogy that hunting is possibly thought of as trench warfare. Si aby explanation you gave was lost in the bullshite.

bullshite! It does in certain occasions but when someone mounts a head of an animal or horns or antlers in their house, you telling me that is related to conservation. BTW, the conservation/animal population control aspects are usually state sponsored, etc. Once again, ego and showing what a tough SOB I am is the reason in most cases. I know people who hunt and they qualify.

The fraud of your altruistic post was given away in your last statement. Once again, I have already mentioned the feed the hungry deal as a valid exception along with controlling populations. Once again, those are in the minority of cases, but nice try.

I was obsessed with this until I did it. Found a place online that turned it into a belt/wallet that didn't last as long as I wouldve liked it to

No, the trench warfare example had to do with being thought of as the opposite of hunting. Trench warfare was between two warring sides with perhaps equal chances of being killed . That is not happens when a human has a gun and the target is not endangering anyone or most of the time not bothering anyone. Or maybe some of you believe a deer is cunningly planning to sneak around and attack you from behind.

You people remind me of the nutcases who like to take pictures of bison 5 feet from them in Yellowstone. Once again, total ego! At least in those cases which are being univerally condemned the animals aren't harmed.

Hey guy, I would have quit posting on this very off topic thread but you rednecks keep the subject alive.

Am I a redneck because I questioned why you're comparing hunting to WWI trench warfare?

Wanna know a secret that I've never admitted to anyone? I eat a lot of vegtables, but I wouldn't if they could shoot back at me. I am a coward when it comes to salad.

God, I love that scene! If I remember right, it wasn't just that they were poaching but they were drunk while doing it.

I wasn't comparing hunting to WW1 trench warfare. I was saying trench warfare was the opposite of hunting...in trench warfare, it is an even fight. On the vegetables deal, I have heard that brussel sprouts can be pretty devious...and don't you dare turn your back on an avocado.

BTW, I assume most of you hunters got paid well for this scene right? The really good part starts at the 2:00 mark.

I hunted ducks for years: never shot more than a limit and ate 'em all. I have no problem with responsible hunting but there are bag limits for a reason and those clowns need to pay a few thousand dollars in fines!

But gee, who gives a damn about responsible, ethical citizenship today?

Some of these, yes, but once again there is a difference between killing animals for sport and killing them to feed people. I am not a vegetarian although I don't eat much beef...not for conscience reasons but because I don't think beef is healthy compared to chicken or fish for example.

No one said u had to eat meat to survive. So honestly there's no difference in someone doing it for sport and eating it or u pulling up to a fast food restaurant and eating it. You're both doing it for enjoyment.

There's also a bounty on Nutria and alligators for conservation reasons......as well as hogs/pigs.

I don't have antlers or any other sort of trophy hanging in my house, but I like venison more than I do beef. I also like eating rabbits and squirrels.

Unfortunately, My market doesn't carry those things. I also grow my own vegetables. Absolutely none of these things have anything to do with ego.
