Has Magee been that bad?

Actually, MaGee has done quite well. But Ed Ingram was one of our best linemen his freshman year. We just expect more from him.

strongly disagree. LG has been an issue. Quite frankly, our only Oline issue. Deculus has been solid at RT so far this year.

Ingram is a road grader. Here’s hoping he’s in shape. We need him.

He’s definitely in shape, but there’s a difference between being in shape as a human being in life and being in football shape. Going to take several weeks of practice to get him there. Also he hasn’t strapped on the pads for 18 months, it’s not like flipping a switch.

That’s why I was really hoping to get him back this week. 2 game weeks and a bye week may have been enough for him to be really ready for Florida.

Any insight on why this continues to drag on after we heard last week he was good to go? Is this LSU compliance rearing it’s ugly head again?

Everything is good. Waiting on the official OK from the NCAA, and they hope to get him some snaps this weekend if they can.

Well...if you were watching the LG play...you certainly saw some shite...

But it wasn’t Ingram.

Quite literally paperwork.

LSU has to file paperwork upon that suspension detailing what he can and can't do (use facilities, practice, travel, etc.) for "NCAA sanctioned events" and activities under their purview (e.g. practice; yes- the NCAA regulates practices).

Now the paperwork must be filed to lift all that with the reason why it is being lifted with documentation (basis: those felony charges, lifted: charges cleared/dismissed).

So the court filings must be attached to the proper forms, sent to NCAA, and then reviewed.

If I had to venture a guess... TX pricks sitting on that documentation to attach to the NCAA forms. NCAA should move pretty quick, and although our compliance might be the ones to do it all, they aren't the issue. Woodward would fire their asses if they drag their feet on this one.

Honestly thought this would’ve been one of Woodward’s first moves as AD.

Two game weeks and a bye week are definitely enough time to get him in game shape.. You obviously never played any sports..

Exactly.

It's not like Ingram hasn't been kept "in the loop" in every way legally possible. And it sure isn't like he forgot how to play. A few weeks to get the right wheels greased and he"ll make an immediate impact.

I actually have confidence that our Athletic Department is doing everything in their power to usher this process along and get big Ed back on the line.

I’m with Ripley

Magee has been a decent run blocker, but a liability vs the pass. If you rewatch the games and focus on the OLine, you can see that he’s our only true liability on the OL

Orgeron said if he is reinstated this week he will play snaps Saturday. The “weeks to get ready to play” narrative created here is completely false, even though people keep posting it.

Would he immediately start and play the whole game? I doubt it. But if he’s eligible, he’s going to get meaningful snaps.
