Same. I'm more frustrated with 6 walks and not being able to advance the few runners that we have gotten on base.

I'm trying to be patient because I know we have a lot of new players. But, this is getting ridiculous.

If that was the only problem I’d be ok. But Cabrera and Garza haven’t done shite either. It’s up to those 2 along with Beloso and Hughes to get these guys going and outside of Beloso I just don’t see anyone giving a shite.

They are swinging at worse and worse pitches as we go. Except for when we watch the plate splitting fastballs for backwards k’s. Which has happened a few times.

Lead off walks score 100% of the time unless it’s an LSU hitter

I want to blame it on this ump, because he 100% has altered several AB's that should have resulted in walks for LSU into K's, but then there's the three K's looking at meatballs down the pipe that were gifted and we kept the bat on the shoulder.

The pitching has been fine tonight. If you can’t score runs you can’t win no matter how good the pitching is. Pitching wins championships, hitting wins games.

I don't think anyone expected Hughes to get anyone going. If anything, his hitting cancer has spread.

Cabrera has had two good at bats and walked both times. Garza tried too hard and squat some terrible terrible pitches.

Skip Bertman would always comment on LSU’s fan base having a “football mentality” which doesn’t equate to collegiate baseball. Baseball is a long season in which you have an opportunity to do a lot of experimentation early in the season pre-conference. I realize the hitting right now needs serious attention but it’s impossible to predict how this season shakes out based on these early games. Get me to conference weekend and then let’s assess where things stand.
