It's going to get worse. You will see guys from smaller schools have a good year, jump in the portal to test the waters, try and move up, you will see starters at D1 schools jump into the portal to see how high the NIL bids get, college student athletes will be making year to year decisions based on their production, NIL opportunities, etc. I am all for kids being able to transfer, there is a time and place for it, I am all for kids to be able to make money on the side, but something has to be done to get this under some reasonable control.

It's the culture man. It's been like this. It's gotten really rotten.
This type of stuff just has to be done. Good thing is it shows everyone else to walk a straight line.

Did you make this up? Our weed policy is exactly he same as the rest of the SEC. Yes other schools have had this issue also. This board has taken wrong information and run with it for years.
no it isnt. our student handbook says that you will be suspended from athletic comp for testing positive.
you dont know what you are talking about and the exact pages and policy has been posted many times.

By all accounts, Dwight was a jokester and very immature. I realize he’s 19 or 20, but you have an obligation to be accountable and handle your business correctly on and off the field as a college athlete. O let a bunch of stuff slide which eventually bled over to the field. The two teams playing last night have minimal to no issues with players being on time and doing what they’re supposed to do. Players hold other players accountable. That’s elite culture and something BK is trying to reestablish here.

Kelly is weeding out the undisciplined. Things have gotten out of hand as far as discipline and this program. This program's culture needs changing.
McGlothern can't keep himself academically eligible to play in the bowl game so he's shown that you can't you rely on him. Good riddance.

When has LSU actually had elite culture in the football program?

get used to it. we will probably start seeing 10-15 players hit the portal each year with another 10-15 players coming into the program from the portal.
You can only take 7 in the portal if you sign a complete class.

Expected... Shea Dixon had mentioned this couple days ago

Saban. Kelly is very similar.

Correct but no way LSU signs 25 HS recruits. I seem signing maybe 4 more guys at most, assuming they can get them. Matthews, Citizen, Lewis the TE from West Gate and maybe an OL if you can find one that is a good prospect.

Why? This does not make any sense!

Looks like he’s going to OU

Saban set the tone, but most were player led. It’s no coincidence we were successful all of those years. Winning helps, but people were held accountable. Players like Joe Burrow, Glenn Dorsey, Jacob Hester, Devin White, Marcus Spears, Andrew Whitworth, Bradie James led and didn’t let people cut corners.

I understand Kelly is all about discipline but why would he get rid of one of our top DBs for next year?

This and the other transfers, while not “fun” will end up being the best thing that could happen. This is a diametrically different culture than what has been here and some will just not fit in.
This happened when Saban took over as well (transfer portal didn’t exist, but there was attrition) and I venture to say that most if not all who quit the team are not remembered. I do however remember 2003 being the result.

Bruh if you keep kicking kids off for weed you will.never win another Natti. I got news for you majority of athletes smoke weed.

CBK really testing the players to see who wants to play at lsu
and surprisingly there’s a lot who really don’t want to
O was too much of a scumbag to set any standard because he himself had low standards
