Underwood did it for the money and was probably playing LSU all along to drive up the price from Michigan. I do feel bad for Sloan in that regard. It was going to be hard to get Underwood from his home state when the state school desperately needs him.

Now as far how the offense looks, you can't tell me that Underwood watched Michigan's pedestrian offense this year and decided, "yeah I want to play in that offensive system with those skill players". A bad as LSU's offense is this year is it;s been dynamic when compared to Michigan's offense this year. I'm sure Michigan probably promised him a new offensive coordinator with a wide-open system.
I hope they get Dabo or Sark.

I hope they DON'T get Lanning, DeBoer, or Kiffin.
Pac 12 is not that strong. Arizona lost to Mississippi St and Notre Dame played Stanford and USC and trounced them without breaking a sweat. Oregon beat Texas Tech by 8 points. The Pac 12 was living off the publicity of Colorado beating TCU early and milked that for all it was worth till time proved that fraudulent. What other non-conference win of note does a Pac 12 team have?

Pass defense is only a rumor in the Pac 12. 5 of the bottom 10 teams in college football(130 schools) for passing yards allowed reside in the Pac 12.

129. Stanford
127. Cal
124. Colorado
122. Washington
121. Arizona St.
116. USC

We know LSU's pass defense is bad, but it's still better than half the teams in the Pac 12. LSU is 104.

Kayshon put the same effort into the combine that he put into the '22 season.

Why wouldn't KB prepare himself for the combine and want to do well after the season he had in '22? This is KB's potential livelihood for the next couple of years hopefully. KB had one of the lowest verts in the entire WR group and DLs ran faster 40's. Red flags galore.

Some team is still going to waste a draft pick on KB though. Maybe the light comes on but this is classic boom or bust with a heavy lean to bust.
Alabama fans obsessing about officiating and how they were screwed! How ironic. Alabama has been screwing every team in this conference for years with favorable officiating and now they are the ones bitching about officiating! That's rich.

These Alabama fans are delusional. These gumps obviously didn't see the hold on Perkins, the fumble that wasn't, the tipped pass; but this phantom block in the back is the reason Alabama lost the game. Let these Alabama bitches cry. Alabama got more than their fair share of calls in this game and they still lost. They can't even take an L with class.
You didn't watch Alabama against Texas did you? If Ewers doesn't get hurt in the 1st quarter Alabama loses that game.

Saban revenge game against Jimbo and 8&4.

Miss. St vs Alabama. Moo St. had more yardage and 1st downs than Alabama but could not get the ball in the endzone till the last play of the game.

This is not your typical dominant Alabama team. Alabama has young inexperienced receivers which is atypical. The Alabama offensive line hasn't been as dominant running the football. They have some youth in the secondary, but Ricks is playing now which helps them. This Alabama team is beatable.
There is just no winning with some people here. Top 10 ranking and you make it to be about Alabama! We beat Alabama Saturday we aren't dropping. If LSU wins out we're in the playoff.

How can you be anything but pleased about this as an LSU fan? We still have a shot at a national title in November in Brian Kelly's first year! People will find anything to bitch about I swear!
This wasn't the most highly rated class due to the coaching change, but I can't remember a class with the number of true freshman making the immediate impact this class is making.

Part of it is due to attrition, but I think these kids are that good.

Perkins, Campbell, Jones, and Taylor are seeing significant time playing time and contributing now. This class will be re-ranked a lot higher in a few years. Will have to wait another year for Walker Howard hopefully.

BK and staff have nailed it with their HS kids so far.

This is LSU. There is always a been this love hate with the starting QB. Love the backup and hate the starter when he plays badly. The backup is always better until they are the one under center having to dodge the bullets.

When Hodson was QB there were people that were adamant that Mickey Guidry was better. Other QB drama: Booty-Davey and Flynn -Russell. There were people before the 2019 season that felt Brennan should have started over Burrow. Burrow shut the talk down early and had one of the greatest seasons ever by a college QB, but if Joe had struggled in 2019 there would have been a faction clamoring for Brennan.

People that didn't want Daniels before are going to bash him every time he makes a mistake. Unfortunately for Daniels haters Nuss has shown enough bad to scare the hell out of people.

At the end of the day, Daniels has the support of the coaches and teammates and that's really all that matters.
Brennan can't even walk in flip flops without tripping and falling. No mobility even when not pressured.
Texas 8&4 was lucky Miami couldn't execute in the red zone or they would have easily lost that game. Miami moved the ball down the field consistently and the defense is the best side of the ball for 8&4.

Max is probably better than King, but Max didn't do a lot to help. I'm certainly not worried about facing Max.

Here are the OL from the class. This wasn't a good percentage. Anthony Bradford is starting, but that's 1 out of 5. Thomas & Turner still on team, but not starting. Parker & Perry no longer on team.

Turner's weight 245?

Kardell Thomas was the highest rated of the group and doesn't look like he'll be a starter.

And the mainstream media still questions why Kelly would leave Notre Dame for LSU? The numbers speak for themselves. LSU has 6 players in the top 100 to 2 players in the top 100 for Notre Dame.

We've won NC's with Orgeron and Miles and you don't think a competent HC wouldn't jump at the chance of trying to win a NC with the talent LSU sends to the league?

Let the media have their fun with Kelly now, but winning will change the narrative and shut them up.

Good to see an LSU offensive lineman doing well. LSU churns out the WRs, DBs, & LBs for the NFL, but OL not so much.

Kelly will change this. LSU has sent as much if not better skill talent to the league than Bama, but the Gumps have sent more OL talent to the league than us.
Taylor looked so fluid in the 15 secs of practice video I saw of him. Taylor looks natural catching the ball and can move. Taylor has a pro body already. I'm sure he'll have to work on his blocking, but I can see Taylor being a threat in the passing game.

When you talk about players I was most looking forward to seeing play this coming season Mason Taylor was at the top of my list. Malik Nabors 2nd and Harold Perkins 3rd. After listening to Kelly rave about Taylor on the radio show tonight, I'm even more hyped about him.

Daniels/Nuss were good enough to beat out Brennan this fall. Don't like it too bad. Not your team.

According to you and others Brennan should be given the starting job because he came back and the 3 games he played in 2020.

When Brennan hit the portal how many how offers did he get? Nebraska? USM?

Finley ended up going to Auburn for crying out loud!

I trust Kelly more than you when it comes to judging QB talent.

You're full of shite.

If Myles was better than Daniels/Nuss who he would be QB1 here and he isn't. Kelly is going to play the QB who gives him the best chance to win. Kelly sees these guys every day in practice and yet you know more than he does about the QB position?

Give me a break. Myles quit. Get over it. Keep shitting on the players we currently have. Question the coach. Are you a Brennan fan or an LSU fan?

Daniels isn't getting a pass. Daniels and Nuss are better than Brennan for the offense Kelly, Denbrock, and Sloan want to run. Myles quit. Get over your love affair with Myles.

Max didn't want to be an LSU Tiger and Jayden wants to be an LSU Tiger.

Max didn't want to compete for the starting QB position at LSU and thought he could walk into a situation where the competition would be easier. Turns out he may not beat out King. Tells a lot about Max.

Jayden beat UCLA and Max could not.

Kelly is riding with Jayden/Nuss and I'm riding with them. Kelly knows more about his team than I do I and I trust him. Keep hating on Daniels/Nuss, but I will support whoever LSU's QB is.

Fisher?! Hell no! If you're happy with 8-4 every year.

Riley...I can't lie and say I wouldn't have liked to see what Riley could have done on offense with LSU talent. I question whether Riley could get a defense that would be good enough to win a championship. Riley always had poor defenses in his time in Oklahoma. Stoops had the formula: defense and balanced offense at Oklahoma.

I'm glad we got Kelly.
Brennan only completed 60.3 percent of his throws in his 3 starts. Oh I forgot that was against the big bad SEC: Mississippi St.(7 sacks also), Vanderbilt, and Missouri. Not exactly Alabama or Georgia.

Compare anybody with Burrow in 2019 and they will come up short. Burrow in 2019 had one of the greatest seasons a college QB has ever had.
