Are Shores and Noot expected to be 100% by '25? Could one/both be a weekend starter?

If they aren't, that would be a very long recovery. I remember reading on here both should be throwing in the Fall.

They both had their surgery in Feb/April of 2023. There is pretty much no reason they wouldn't be 100% by this fall practice. It will then be about rebuilding stamina/pitch count etc...

they even gave Noot a nod earlier this season, he obviously wasnt ready, but shows they were at least willing to try just 14 months or so after his surgery.

Dutton might have been one of the most ineffective relievers that's come across this program.

He was a poor man's Blake Money without the intangibles.

Dutton could always be counted on for at least throwing strikes, which a lot of college pitchers can struggle with.

His problem is he threw a TON of very hittable strikes

I wonder if he's thinking about somewhere in Alabama like UAB, Samford, South Alabama or Troy. He would have a strong chance to start at schools like that back home.

Some miserable a-holes in this thread.

Seriously! All these kids would have loved nothing more than to come to LSU and be superstars. It just didn’t work out, unfortunately.

I am not shitting on the guy, he did what he was asked to do. He was to slow to be fast and to fast to be craft as a lefty.

I missed Noot’s inning this season. Was his velocity anywhere close to what it was pre-injury?

I’m not saying it’s a big loss talent wise, but these losses are starting to pile up from a pure number of pitchers on the roster standpoint. Like we we are going to have to bring in a shite ton of pitchers this offseason

Judging by the portal players performances this season, I would take that.

It feels like Jay is is doing some real spring cleaning.

Hopefully rebuilding the staff with some guys that may not have max power but are able to pitch and command the zone.

Is it true that Mainieri passed over Tanner Hall to recruit him?
