Why can’t you people understand that this doesn’t matter

Ed Alexander has fought injuries his entire LSU career. Look at it from his perspective. He can play football and fight injuries next year at LSU for free or he can play football and fight injuries on a NFL practice squad next year.

This is almost a carbon copy of Toby Weathersby. Weathersby is making $129K a year right now on the Patriots practice squad.

It’s a risk reward

If they come back and even sneak into the 5th round their signing bonus would make up the difference.

I know this has been said but this shite kills us every year. Players that will go in the 5th to 7th round or free agent leave. Just sucks with this position. Oh well Good luck Ed.

Ideally yes, but Alexander’s knees and Weathersby’s concussions put them on a time clock to make money

I don't think anyone is recommending he go this route from LSU's end. It's gotta be mom or dad? Even still, he's either getting bad counsel or ignoring good counsel.

We may not agree on much, Lester. But, we couldn't agree more on this. The kid is doing what he thinks is best and people turn on him and call him every name in the book. On top of that, it comes from some of the people that say the board impacts recruiting. If it does, this sure as shite doesn't help.

Everyone is in a time lock, but if his knees are that bad who is signing this kid?

To anything? There is no IR from the practice squad I don’t think.

It’s our identity. It’s fricking pathetic

You have projected 2nd-3rd founders routinely coming back to play at bama

LSU can’t even keep projected UDFAs

The same people praising and cheering him will be melting like MFers when Bama blows our lines up AGAIN. They’ll be screaming for O to be fired and simply won’t understand why we can’t compete

I think you have to look at programs that have good retention rates and see what they are doing differently.

It's the player's decision, but I agree it's perplexing and a bit frustrating to lose underclassmen like we do.

At least he'll be healthy enough to earn a job in the AAF. Or maybe he'll be an XFL all-pro...

Well that’s not good. And a mistake for the young man also. He sure could have improved his stock by coming back
