He has bad knees, he needs to take this opportunity to make any kind of money he can before he is done for good.
Sucks but not in the least bit surprising. Aranda will have to duct tape a game plan together up front for the bowl game.
Though Ika is a early enrollee so the staff will have more time to get these big guys ready to step up next year

He haw chronic knee problems iirc. His time is limited

Lol, didn't see that one coming.

My guess is with his knee issues he wants to get paid before it's too late.

The NFL isn’t gonna take a guy with 4 starts and bad knees.

Is he failing in the classroom? Because he won’t get drafted. What a stupid decision. Does Ed or anyone on staff educate these kids on the ramifications of these decisions?

Perfect example of why each individual choice is independent from other choices.

So why not, I don’t know, at least get your degree while it’s free so you have something to fall back on?

Wish the guy the best.
Hope he makes a roster... not sure that’s a guarantee.
Good luck EA.

I said a few weeks ago he was a guy I could see declaring and people laughed. Dude had it written on his forehead. Now not playing in the bowl, that doesn’t make very much sense.

That’s such a dumb move.

That was my understanding. I wish he would have given it one last go with the bowl game, but maybe he didn't want to put another 3 weeks of practice wear and tear on the knees.
Hopefully some of the DTs that redshirted this year have come along enough to grab a few snaps.

Because he can always get his degree later. If he gets on a practice squad, he can earn at least $125k a year plus benefits.

Who's Ed Alexander?
Posted on 12/19/18 at 5:03 pm to The Pirate King
Not surprised. So we got one year from him. Sucks, but now we need to see what Tyler Shelvin can do.
Posted on 12/19/18 at 5:03 pm to BayouCowboy
Who is going to pay him? If he has bad knees, he should further his academic career as much as possible.

Pussy, play in the damn game.
I'm sure these types of comments help out a lot.
