If this was an established star player at a major position of need I could understand the conspiracy theorists but it appears this is just another snafu from a bitter broad. Similar to Jacob Phillips last year.

If true, please prepare a shitload of Crow for some folks on this board that already tar and feathered the kid and his coach.

Someone in the original thread said this would happen. Someone that said they’ve worked with battered women for years and he said don’t be shocked that she came out and retracted everything because she would feel guilty.

This the reason why I said I’ll hold my judgment, some of you guys should feel like idiots always jumping to conclusions without knowing what happened hell you never know anyway unless you saw it or was their

Glad I decided to withold judgment until I knew all the facts. Something about the whole thing struck me as fishy from the getgo.

I knew the kid wasn't the type to do that
I don't want to judge either way, but I never thought of Davis to be violent. Anyone can snap, but he sure came across as a giant nerd from the brief moments I have seen him. Which is not much.. but I still acknowledge that doesn't mean anything.. Anyone could be a POS and we not know it.
I really just hope this who situation isn't true at all. For all involved parties.
If nothing comes of it, I don't even care if she was paid off. I would almost pay her off to make it go away.. Even if my side was innocent. I realize this does set a bad precedent. I often do feel like the person making fake allegations should be held accountable as well.. especially in those fake rape situations. I feel like if they were true then the accuser shouldn't be bought off. They should want to see the person go to prison, period.. because that type of behavior should never be tolerated.

I've personally witnessed a case that did not involve me in which the woman retracted her accusations because they were false and she was looking at possibly facing perjury charges if she testified and told the story she told that got him arrested.
It was false. She had injuries to her face but he did not cause them and I know this because I was there when she sustained the injuries. They looked bad though and 4 or 5 days after her seizure, she got drunk (she's an angry drunk), got angry and realized she could lie about the injuries to her face and get her BF arrested. When she sobered up she felt bad about doing it.
Plus, she knew I could testify for the defense because I witnessed the seizure that caused her injuries, and that it coming to that might not bode well for her.
To save her own arse she dropped the charges and admitted she lied (even though the law didn't believe her truthful retraction). The state tried to pursue the charges without her but derermined that they likely would not get a conviction and ultimately dropped the charges.
In any case, it's not always because the battered woman feels bad for hurting her abuser. Sometimes she is the abuser. Sometimes the retractions occur because she knows she's a psychotic, aggressive, substance abuser who does evil things when she's angry, truth be damned.
FTR, I don't know which applies here. My point is that to the best of my knowledge no one else here does either.

I’m sure the DA’s office will conduct a proper investigation and go from there...

Someone is getting fricked either way. If it's the ex, she'll be in jail for slander
