They lost 9 starters on D and i don't think any of their projected starters on defense could make our 2 deep.

This new offense is going to go up and down the field on them all night. They might be decent but its going to take a few months to gel.

Burrow is much better than Ehlinger so we have the edge there as well.

I see this being a Miami style arse whipping. 28-3/31-3 at half.

I think we will win, but in no way are we going to go on the road against a Top 10 team even if overrated and be up 31-3 at halftime.

I think we should beat Texas, but just because we should beat a team doesn't mean me will. Think back to Wisconsin 2016. That was the most confident I was in a big opener and it ended up being one of the biggest letdowns.

Texas may have lost talent, but they're still a big-time program on the road.

Not scared at all but a top 10 (deserving or not) OOC opponent on the road is nothing to take lightly.

again, just because you lose starter doesn't necessarily mean you'll be shitty. They've had top 3 recruiting classes the last two years. They've got talent.

this new offense hasn't run a single play yet. Let's wait and see what we actually have.

Ehlinger's pretty good and beat OU and UGA last year. Not saying he's better than Burrow, but Ehlinger's one of the guys on their team I wouldn't take lightly.

now this is just nonsense.

Texas lost a good bit of talent, but they have a QB with a pulse and Herman is no slouch as a coach. I expect LSU to play well and win, but if we would come out and go up 31-3 at half, I'd be pretty shocked.

They lost a lot of starters, but Texas has recruited very well the past couple years. Their young guys are very talented.

That remains to be seen. We all remember 2016 and the "new offense".

That is very debatable.

I hope so, but I have a feeling this game is going to be tougher than that. I still think LSU win, and will be at the game. Just don't think this will be the arse kicking you see coming.

Nope. Nobody talked about Troy at all. There was nothing similar about it.

I don't see anyone scared of Texas.

Quit dreaming up a scenario where you think we're overcoming critics. We're the favorites, everyone sees us as favorites, and we should win the game. Be comfortable with being the favorite.

I’m guessing I’m the only person who saw Texas win 10 games and beat Oklahoma and Georgia?

LSU should win the game but Texas is dangerous.

We haven't seen the 2019 offense.

It hasn't taken elite defenses to slow down LSU over the past decade plus so I'll believe it when I see it.

Also the recruiting since Herman has been there is better than Strong so those new starters are most likely better prospects than the ones they are replacing.

Herman coming off of back to back #3 classes in the country. Strong's average class ranking was #13. I know recruiting rankings don't mean everything but that is a big jump in talent that usually starts to show up on the field.

Always wise to underestimate an opponent early in the season. Worked wonders for Miami against O last year.

No one is scared of Texas but they do respect them, it’s not a game to overlook and pencil in a W for sure.

LSU will be lucky to win by more than 7. If they do win.... we will see what they bring out against Ga. Southern first.....
