Don't give up on LSU Baseball until it is over!

First off, saying we don't deserve it is the most idiotic thing you can say because no one deserves anything, you have to earn it.
Here are just two examples of Champions that thought the season was over in May.
2015 Virginia
- Finished 44-24, 15-15 in conference
- Got destroyed by Miami, Notre Dame, and NC State in ACC Tourney to finish 34-22
- Was a #3 seed in UC Santa Barbara regional and went 3-0 before defeating Maryland in Supers in two games
- Climbed out loser's bracket to beat Florida and then face Vandy in title
- Lost Game one, then won two straight to win it all
2008 Fresno State
- Finished season going 7-11, never having beaten any good teams
- Won WAC Tourney for auto bid, sent to Long Beach as a #4 seed
- Won the regional even after losing to San Diego
- Lost to Arizona State in Game 1 of Supers only to win the final two games and go to Omaha
- Lost to UNC but came back to beat them to make Finals
- Lost Game 1 only to win last two games and beat UGA for title!
Non-Champs who surprised everyone
2019 Duke: 35-27, Made it to Super
2018 Washington: 35-26, Made it to Omaha
2018 Cal St Fullerton: 36-24, Made it to Super
2017 Sam Houston St: 44-23, Made it to Super
2017 Davidson: 32-24, Made it to Super
We have 9 games left, ALL ARE VERY MUCH WINNABLE GAMES! If we can go 9-0, we finish 16-14 and become one of the hottest teams heading into conf tourneys. Even if we go 6-3, we are still 13-17 but our RPI is going to be in Top 20, and that only helps us.
A lot of baseball to play, including SEC Tourney, which we have shown we can win regardless of how good we are that season

A UVA or Fresno St. scenario would be excellent, but that other shite you listed-frick all that. At this point who gives a shite about settling for just another Super or Omaha appearance? It’s not gonna make anyone feel better about this season. I’m ready to win it all again.

Great OP.
Completely agree. This team hasn't peaked and two starters give us chance period.

I'm in until they're eliminated.

Our pitching staff will not allow us to go 9-0. We might get to 6-3, but even that is doubtful. Auburn games will tell the tale.

Nope I’m done. Got better things to do.

I'll be content with a 6-3 finish. This seems most likely if we play well. Nobody is going to be a push over. 6-3 might require a win in the SECT to get a seat at the table.
I'll be really excited with a 7-2 finish. This doesn't seem likely but I could see a sweep somewhere if the ball falls right. 7-2 might get us a seat at the table even if we don't win a game in the SECT.
I'll be ecstatic with an 8-1 finish. This seems very unlikely, given 2 of the 3 series are on the road. 8-2 gets us a seat at the table, no matter what happens at the SECT.
I'm buying tickets to Omaha with a 9-0 finish. This almost seems impossible without a sturdy pitching staff. You can't expect to run off 9 in a row with 1 proven starter (Marceaux), 1 good starter that's likely still not recovered from throwing over 200 pitches in less than 2 weeks (Labas), and a whole bunch of inconsistency after that. 9-0 and we're obviously going to a regional.
7-2 or better almost certainly gets us to a regional, and heading there hot as fire.

Auburn can swing the bats. We're gonna have to score some runs this series to get out of there 2/3 or better.

Gave up on College baseball years ago. Scrap the program and go with Lacrosse and/or rugby.

It would be cool to have a lacrosse team for sure. But we definitely have to keep baseball obviously. Dropping it would be idiotic.
