I like what Kim wears better than SC coach. Kim is exciting like her basketball team.

At least half of my friends are millionaires, and they all wear the same clothes more than twice.

If you knew the story behind the outfits you would realize just how awesome CKM is off the court as well.

I’m sure we will start to see game worn Kim Mulkey jackets show up in silent auctions around BR soon.

The owner, Jamie, used to be an engineer for an oil company working mostly with men. LSU alum with BS degree in petroleum engineering. The clothes she wore were baggy and made for men. So she designed her own outfits to fit (not sparkly). Then she left the oil industry and started designing and making clothes for a living. Many of her employees are former LSU students. She met Kim and the rest is history.

In French, “costume” is not a pejorative and is the correct word. It is the French word for “suit.” Perhaps the OP let his French heritage slip in to his language usage.

Kim has said, multiple times, she would normally never be caught dead in those outfits. It's her assistants' idea. Gaudy & outlandish is not her actual style preference.

However, much like instant-recognition rockstar fashion branding, she's said if the outrageous but iconic imagery helps sell one extra ticket, it's worth the hit her personal taste might take.

It's great PR and I can tell you pearsonally the CEO and founder is an amazing person. Also an LSU alum that is crushing it, national brand now and Mulkey helps her too.

I just picture the Gene Kranz vest scene from Apollo 13.

Interestingly enough, Kranz wasn't always in white vests. His wife would make two vests for each mission: a white one (symbolizing his leading the "white team" of mission controllers, as opposed to the the "red team" or "blue team") for work during the mission and a celebratory vest for splashdown. Because Apollo 13 never reached the moon, he remained in the white vest through splashdown.

Some of his other looks:
Gemini 9

Apollo 17
During the mission

For splashdown:
