yes if your objective is to resell. However, if you want to know you have a seat and sit in the same place every year then no.

That's true. I like being familiar with my spot and the people around me.

JA was quoted pre game that the Houston game was a win win for LSU. He made no mention of LSU's season ticket holders. As long as there is a waiting list for season tickets, and there is one of several 1000 according to press release from the AD office, he's made his money & that is all he's really concerned about. And he knows, too, that once a season ticket holder gives up his tickets, TAF has first shot at them & will automatically scoop them up. Regardless of the price of tickets, I am no longer getting value for my season tickets, held since 1961, and I will be "selling" them to a friend next yr. JA is losing a season ticket holder of over 54 yrs & it's safe to say he could care less.

What's the face value on the Sam Houston tickets? $40 if I remember correctly...

This is off topic, but Sam Houston State is better than New Mexico State. Plus it's the home opener.

aren't the el-cheapo seats in the highest levels of the South end zone (where the Gumps are going to be this year?)

Yeah right, who can sell these for a profit? The SHS game is costing me $192.86/seat and you can get them for $10 now or free game day, that is what he is considering "devalued" don't care where they are how long held. We realize they are attempting to fill the place but doesn't change what comes out of pocket for season ticket holders!

If you have season tickets you should keep them. The big 5 conferences will likely being playing each other in a few years and at least you wont have the rent a wins. If you give them up you will be in the nosebleeds. I gave up 6 on 3o yd line 100 level at superdome when Katrina hit. Applied for them the next year and could only get 600 level.

Yes that would be nice but just can't afford the cost anymore especially when lower bowl seats will be in abundance on game day even for Gumps willing to bet; that scenerio could be years anyway as said.
Saints are a bit of different animal too.

What sucks as a season ticket holder is seeing SEC games with similar prices. Florida 2013 and South Carolina 2012, folks were begging people to buy their tickets in front of the westside of the stadium.

My girlfriend and I had an opportunity to get a set of season tickets this year, but the price is just absurd for the shite games we have slated. I think that's why they were willing to let them go.

I was still able to sell most of mine for a profit this year so as long as people are scared to wait until Gameday to get tickets I'll keep renewing.

The home non-conference schedule is bad and it will continue to be one of the reasons for fan apathy towards games (along with lack of cell phone coverage, traffic). LSU is addressing the latter two. But home schedule stinks for sure.

The only way your season tickets can be "devalued" is if you are trying to sell them to make a profit and it doesn't work.

What if he's trying to sell a ticket to break even?

I'm sure many are in your boat. I would be interested to see if they hit that waiting list how many people would buy stadium club seasons at $2900 each per season ticket, lower sidelines at $1600 each and upper decks at $425 each plus a small taf donation. My guess is that 90 percent of that waiting list would only buy north end zones or south end zones with lowest possible tradition fund.
