I’ve heard people saying there is no chance he can be fired this year. (Outside of this investigation hammering him) But does anybody realistically think he could ever put together what we had last year or even if a championship contender. I don’t believe even the die hard O supporters believe he can win another championship at LSU. He’s simply not a good coach at all. Does anybody honestly believe he is the coach still in 2 years?

I do agree hes safe this year unless the investigation drags him down, but his seat is boiling hot in 2021. I think 8-4 and hes gone

Do I think he's the long-term solution? Absolutely not

Do I think he'll still be here in two years? Probably

I’ll take 8-4 next year.
Our program is in complete disarray right now.

That's the issue. Is Orgeron the one to fix it? Or is he the cause of it?

We can pay somebody else a lot less money to go 8-4.

You wanna become Tennessee/texas/Nebraska? Accepting 8-4/7-5 is how you do that

We blow this year for a multitude of reasons, but all of this “O on the hot seat” nonsense is ridiculous.

He is the coach that delivered the single greatest college football season in history just 10 months ago. O put that together and made it happen.

I know this year is frustrating, but everyone needs to calm down.

Six or seven million a year for a good recruiter at a school which is in the middle of strong recruiting grounds. And for a HC who can't seem to hire straight?
And for a HC who is not strong with X's and O's?
And for a HC who presides over the disfunction and disarray we see on the field this year?
This hire of Orgeron as HC was an error, His extension and raise underscored the error.

Yea but get this, that was “luck”.

Stingley being a last minute scratch In game 1 and the QB getting knocked out for the season, and guys opting out arent “luck”. That is just who O is.

in that case, this Pelini hire was just bad luck.

He holds this recruiting class together and adds a few elite pieces then yes.

Outside of Marshall, the best players on this team are freshmen. They are only going to get better. Adding at worst a top 3 recruiting class to that will be something.

O and the staff will somehow have to fix the offensive line and fast. That is the biggest issue right now. Defense is getting better and I don't think they can afford to fire Pelini anyway.
