Of course they do. They also win the NC in 06 and 11

Not 05?

I am tired of the narrative that Les Miles was a better coach to handle Katrina as compared to Saban

Saban does not lose in OT to Tennessee

Does 2007 LSU go undefeated with Saban

I don't think so. But we wouldn't have lost 2 games to mediocre opponents like Kentucky and Arkansas.

I believe Saban might have lost one game that year, however, to a very good Tim Tebow led Florida team. His conservative coaching style likely wouldn't have permitted 4th-and-Hester six times during the course of the game.

After five games head-to-head, Les was up 3-2. Their paths diverged after Les shifted to the pound-n-punt offense and Saban was willing to play more aggressively on O.

Game of the Century was a turning point for both coaches/programs. Saban learned from the loss that he had to update/open up the offense and brought in a modern OC. He has even admitted this. Meanwhile Miles doubled down on his stagnant offense and refused to change the rest of his career, leading to his gradual downhill slide.

I think we win 2/3 from 2005-2007 if Saban never leaves

Maybe, maybe not. Saban didn’t have any undefeated seasons until well into his tenure at Bama.

How did this post get nothing but upvotes despite being blatantly wrong?

He had an undefeated regular season by Year 2 and a completely undefeated
season with a national championship by year 3.

And both those games were lost because of missed extra points. He DGAF about his field goal squads.

I hate to repeat this "Saban lives rent free in the heads of LSU fans".....He has retired and now is on college gameday. He also coaches his grand kids baseball.....Please get over him. Kids born on Christmas day 2004 are almost 21 years old and can legally drink.

I’m just gonna pretend you were joking because nobody can be that stupid to think Les Miles was ever even half the coach Nick Saban ever was.

Wrong. LSU would have at least two to three more national titles between 2003-2012 with Saban as coach.

If saban was coaching LSU from 05-13 They probably have a minimum of 4 NC’s and 6 SEC titles.

You could say the same and probably more for Les if Saban didn't come back to college.

Context again matters. But a record doesn't mean Miles was better. Saban was always the better Coach. Was the gap smaller at the start? Yes. But after the game of The Century the gap grew each time they played. But Saban was never the better Coach. Lets not have revisionist history
