Do we have a shot at a top 10 finish?

Win out, okay bowl, win it.... is it enough to finish in the top 10?

Maybe if we win out impressively and play in a major bowl that we also win.Rememberr that half of the teams above will loose creating a ranking vacuum. A lot of coursedepends on we are ranked at the end of the regular season. I am hoping 15-12 in the CFP.

absolutely not. even at 9-3 we'll not play a rated team in the Taxslayer Bowl and our 10-3 won't get us any higher than maybe 13.

No, maybe in the 15 range though with a bowl win.

Possibly.
3 Teams were 10-3 and finished in the Top 10 to finish last year. Michigan, USC and Florida State.
We were 8-4 and finished 13. Also we were unranked going into week 12.

Doubt it.
It depends on the opponent. If we win the next 2, we'll be round 17 or 18 going into the bowls. If we get a higher ranked opponent and win, maybe we get in top 15, but not top 10 this year.

depends on how many teams rated above us lose in the next 3 weeks, and we win out.

21 now....
after UT...18 (maybe higher depending on who loses above us)
after aTM...15-14
after bowl win...10-12. More likely 11.

It would take a lot more upsets but no

Of course- anything is possible. Serious, look at last year's ranking to end the season. And also if we win out, played Bama close, a strong win vs Auburn, then hell yes!

Frankly, I'd say little to no chance. Honestly- what have we done to deserve a high ranking?
Right now, we have 1 win on our resume worth mentioning, Auburn. And that was a rally that required one of the biggest comebacks in program history to win.
Alabama beat us comfortably, we never challenged them, they kneeled at the end. Miss St, a team that might finish in the teens somewhere, beat us by 30. Troy, who won't be ranked, beat us.
None of our other wins were vs teams that are any good. Tennessee and A&M aren't any good either, they can't help, only hurt us.
If we win our bowl in impressive fashion against a decent team, it might help us finish higher than 15. That depends on who we play, and how well we play.

What difference, at this point, does it make?

Stop.

If we didn't lose to Troy, we'd be top 10 right now

This is entirely possible. There are a lot of games left. If we win out, enough teams will lose in front of us to make this a possibility. To argue otherwise is dumb and not objective.

We would have to get very lucky and land a quality opponent in a bowl game and defeat then convincingly to have a shot.
More likely a 12ish finish.

No loss to TROY killed that chance....thanks to whoever put fumbling brossette in the game on the 5 yard line

You have no idea what you are talking about. At 9-3 we will be out of range for the Tax Slayer Bowl, and probably playing in the Sugar or Cotton against another ranled team. Worst case would be the Capital One Bowl most likely.
We should be #18-19 if we win at Tenn, and I would gues another 3-4 position move if we beat A&m. Would likely go into the Bowl around #14-15.
