Check out Dandy Don’s dirty rice recipe. It uses eggplant and is really good.

re: OB Farmers
Posted by NELARiceGuy on 2/26/19 at 9:59 pm to KemoSabe65
To get back to original question. If your farm was cotton for years it probably had a "cotton base" that got transitioned to "generic base" a few years ago. Now, if you plant rice on "generic base" you can get a rice payment. If you have questions go to your local FSA office. FSA can tell you most profitable crop and how much potential rice payment will be. If not I'm sure you know who to call in that area.

re: Do they sell culverts longer than 20 ft?
Posted by NELARiceGuy on 8/18/18 at 9:07 pm to sodcutterjones
Ive had 24' plastic. Or you get 20'. they sell a coupler for some pipe and some has a bell on one end. Im talking 12" and up. Biggest ive bought is 30" I think the smaller diameter comes in the longer lengths but its been a while since ive bough some.

re: Checking Kids Out of School for Vacation
Posted by NELARiceGuy on 6/7/18 at 2:02 pm to Clark W Griswold
We usually take our kids out the week before a school vacation because they are usually just goofing off for the week leading up to thanksgiving or Christmas. I was in a hot tub in Orlando with a teacher (no pics) and we were talking about kids, vacations, and missing school. She told me she thought it was great when parents took their kids on vacations like that. They learn a lot.

Needs about an inch. Ask your wife... she knows what an inch feels like...
