If he left because anyone stayed, it was Nuss staying not Daniels.

No inside info and not really emotionally invested - come to accept that transfers come with the territory of this era of CFB.

But I think from WH's point of view that's what was decisive.

Howard left for a better opportunity, for him.

That’s because Howard didn’t leave because of Daniels at all. He didn’t care about Daniels.

Nuss informed the staff that he was not going anywhere and that got Howard’s panties in a wad so he transferred.

If JD leaves then Walker is QB2 not QB3, why is this so hard to understand?

While true, his path to starting would still have been blocked by Nussmeir for up to three years. He may not have left now but you would have to think a transfer would have still been in his future. Just not this year.

Daniels was not his competition. Nuss was.

If Daniels would've left he still would've been behind Nuss for another 2 years. It had nothing to do with Daniels.

He obviously saw a scenario where he would've been behind JD in 2023 and then start in 2024. He didn't think he could beat out Nuss or he would've stayed.

If he decides on TCU, that is your answer there.

His buddy Bech is there, better chance to start next year, no Okie and Texas to worry about year after next.

Easier road to playoffs.

Offense that he can throw for miles on

QB2 doesn't automatically become QB1. There would have been a competition this Spring if JD left. Or next year if JD stays.

If he thought he was good enough to beat out Nuss he would've stayed. One snap away from being starter in that scenario.

Nuss could have 1 good year and then leave for the NFL, there’s no way of knowing how long Nuss would be at LSU. One thing is certain, WH didn’t want to be QB3 and that’s why he left LSU - because JD returned and WH was 3rd on the depth chart

Doesn’t want to be QB3 for another season. He’s also been tampered with all year according to other sites mainly from TCU

I believe it’s both equally. If JD or Nuss left, Walker stays.
it boils down to Nuss. Who cares if Waker is here next year if he loses and is gone the year after anyway? Why are people so stupid to think he'd be here 4 years if he wasn't even willing to be here 2 years?

When Kelly arrived he had Brennan, Nuss, and Walker. So why go after JD? Its because he wants a system QB

Brennan and Howard left because of "the system" that requires a Daniels

Nuss will soon follow, because his skill set requires a different playbook than Daniels. Kelly isnt going to change his playbook that has made him marginally successful since 2007. Thats exactly what we hated about Les at the end

Daniels is not Howard's main long term competition. Nuss is. If Daniels was leaving and Nuss beat out Howard in spring (which is likely), Howard's long term result is the same and likely leaves.

This is correct.

Some people are poor with basic logic.

Sad thing is that Nuss will transfer out when Daniels beats him again in the Spring and we will have a three star true freshman backup

I suspect there's some truth to your post.

CBK wasn't gonna run the Joe Brady offense even had he inherited Joe Burrow to run it. Not his style. At least not yet. Being his first year here I think he wanted a style he was comfortable with. Hence, enter Jayden into the picture.

This is 100% spot on. Maybe when Nuss transfers in the spring people here will finally be forced to admit that CBK doesn’t walk on water
