Did Kelly ever say why Weeks didn't play more?

Same shite last year with Harold. If your scheme doesn't allow your best players to play then change the fricking scheme.

Weeks is clearly our best LB, it's not close. Not playing him is so incredibly frustrating.

i’m not seeing anything out of Jones that isn’t just basic DE play.

He played a pretty good bit. OM ran 80 something plays. Players can't play 80 snaps. They are going to need to rotate.

Whit Weeks played 54 snaps, which seems like a lot in a normal game but our defense was on the field for 94 defensive snaps (includes penalty plays)

Speights is a backup LB at best here, Weeks is CLEARLY better. Speights should only come in to spell Weeks or Penn for a series or two a game.

I read somewhere that said he didn't play until Ole Miss scored 28.

That’s not even remotely true. He was on the field on their second offensive drive.

People just say any outlandish shite and our fans parrot it.

Gotta keep him fresh. It’s obvious staff went to him heavy in the second half. Don’t know many guys that can play 80+ snaps

He just stated WW is young and still learning the position. Lol, he’s one of your best linebackers and better than Speights, should start every game

Kelly has always hated playing freshmen. That’s the only reason. He better get over that shite fast because his “experienced” players suck balls.

This is college, why would they be recruiting if not to “their” scheme in the first place?

I went back and looked. It was an unlinked quote. Not sure where it came from.

quote:

LSU Freshman LB Whit Weeks was relegated to the bench until the Tigers' defense had already allowed 28 points. Once he came on the field, he became the team's highest rated defender by PFF College, made 9 tackles (8+ in all 3 starts), 1.5 TFLs, 2 QB Hits & 6 total stops (negative plays caused by tackle)

Op asked why he didn’t play more. He definitely made some plays when in there and seemed to be the only one that could read that stupid little read pitch that burned us 5-7 times.

Weeks did play the 2nd,3rd, and 4th Quarters. He should be a starter.
