Yes. He walked once and hit a homer.

To be fair to Guidry, everyone homered for Florida that day. Nutty winds

Actually, I think it was a meaningless leadoff homer in the 8th of game 3 when we were comfortably ahead. Guidry cruised from there.

Gavin Guidry threw the final out in a CWS final and is forever etched in LSU lore. He's an undersized pitcher who gave up his pro ambitions as a MIF to help win a CWS for his team on the mound with a weak bullpen and did so. He overachieved relative to his talent and is a good teammate who Jay took to Omaha last year despite being hurt. This guy is as LSU as it gets and I can't understand the hate. He has completely outperformed his talent yet yall are upset that he's not better. He's all LSU and I wish we had more of that throughout this school

He also had a great 2024 season, then got hurt. He was bad this year, but this idea the rant has formed that "all he did was get 3 outs in Omaha" has always been stupid.

Agree with everything else you said about Gavin. Great kid, great baseball player and started pitching at LSU to get on the field more quickly. I always thought he would go back to INF but he didn't.
But don't undersell his pitching potential coming out of HS as he was 8-0 for Barbe against very good competition. Had an ERA almost ZERO and was dominant. Also was Gatorade POY in Louisiana his SR year, partly for his pitching accomplishments.
Only love for GG from here as I have loved seeing him play for LSU and he is indeed P&G to the core.

You don't think FR Gavin Guidry came to LSU wanting to play MIF thinking he had a chance to get drafted?
