After Jordy was forwarded the email from Daddy Dale apparently......Dale didn’t directly contact Jordy, won’t go on the show......
Tells me all I need to know..

“. @JordyCulotta says @LSUBasketball great Dale Brown reached out to him Friday and was upset. Culotta offered him to come onto the show and Coach Brown declined. “

I found this tweet from 2/19 on Doucet’s twitter
“Dick Vitale campaigning for #LSU court to be named after legendary head coach Dale Brown. Says it's "an absurdity" it's not.”

Dale's monologue would have run the full length of Jordy's airtime. He would have monopolized the conversation & most of his comments would have of the preaching - kind, with obscure quotes like his recent email. Curious, though, as to why his email was not sent directly to Jordy as he was the intended target.

Dale Brown is guilty as hell. Wow.

He're where I fall at the moment (not that anyone necessarily cares). Why would Dale pick the Cisse recruitment at the line in the sand? He's not the only big time recruit Wade has brought in or attempted to bring in. Why now? And why now after Dale's (arguably) most prized recruit ever (Shaq) now has a son playing for the coach Dale purportedly dislikes?
What more than likely happened is that other coaches (looking at you, UK) were trying to find a way to dirty recruit LSU to prevent the Cisse signing. They discuss recruiting with Dick and mention "rumors" of LSU getting hit with a NOA soon. Dick, who likely have few, if any contacts with the current LSU staff calls up his one longtime LSU contact...Dale to ask him about it. Dale, maybe based on knowledge gained from the athletic dept, or maybe just his opinion, "confirms" what Dick was told by other coaches. NEITHER has strong enough information to corroborate the rumor, but that doesn't matter in today's journalism. The Cisse signing which seem imminent is delayed. Mission accomplished.
And let's not forget who the (alleged) aggrieved middle man was in the "Smart deal"...Shannon Forman...a former player under Calipari. As implied by the wiretap. The "Smart deal" was delayed because the middle man was pissed he wasn't getting a big enough cut of the deal. I can't say for sure. But what you are likely seeing the backlash of the BR AAU basketball "fixers" striking back at Wade. In part because Wade (A) has moved beyond them (Wade recruits nationally) and (B) they are all still tied in to a small circle of which Brown is a part of...though not necessarily an integral part.

If you are innocent of the accusation, i dont see how you could decline the invite to try to right the ship

Like someone else mentioned in this thread, Jordy didn't exactly go about this the PC way. It may have merit or it may not, but that isn't exactly the best way to bring up that allegation.
Dale Brown has zero reason to go on the radio and get grilled on that subject if you think about it.

Sure he does, if he's completely innocent of it, and i'd bet Jordy would be respectful and apologize if he truly was innocent in all this.

lol he really doesn't.
he's 85, if he's innocent, what does he have to gain to drag himself into this, especially with the way jordy presented it. Why give Jordy that pleasure on Jordy's show
and if he's guilty, of course he doesn't want to talk about it.
So it's hard to draw a conclusion other wise.

If you care about your reputation, and most people do, thats the reason

Wonder what Moscona thinks about all this. He is about the biggest Dale Brown stan there is. A while back he was near tears talking about how the court should be named after Dale and they should do it soon before Dale passes away

This was right after the 2nd Dickie interview with Jordy. They were trying to ask him pertinent questions about his rumors and he wouldn't shut up about his charities and how shameful it was that we hadn't named the court after Dale. He ranted on it for quite a while, when nobody was even asking about it and ignored their questions.
He pushed for it so hard that he convinced me that we shouldn't do it.

Not leave a tarnished legacy.
But maybe Dale doesn't care about that.

Definitely not his first time saying it. He brings up almost anytime he is discussing LSU basketball or calling a game. I've heard him say at least twice that I remember during an LSU game he has called. He did it during the LSU/UK game at Rupp in 2019.
I always liked Dale, especially since he was the coach during my childhood when I first fell in love with LSU basketball and LSU sports in general. Went to a few of his camps. (My opinion will obviously change if this story/accusation is ever somehow proven true)
But while he did a lot of great things to put LSU on the basketball map, I have never agreed with the court being named after him. One, because of the shape he left the program in regardless if the penalties had merit or not. Two, it's not like his accomplishments are so insurmountable that someone could not pass him up, especially if they won a national championship. So what is LSU supposed to do: name the court after him and then change it when another coach comes along that performs better?

This goes back further than Cisse. And its Dickie V choosing to time it when big recruits are leaning here. He's had a personal vendetta against Wade since he got here. And it seems to be because of his relationship with Dale Brown and Brown's dislike for WW. Couple that with the fact that he's buddy-buddy with the Caliparis and Krychweistycstkis of the world, and trying to protect their strangle hold on buying recruits, and you get this kind of storm.
Its very hypocritical and very obvious when you see which scandals he chooses to comment on, and which he ignores.
