Devin White told the guys he's coming back
To visit during a bye week??

quote:of course he does. He's on the cusp of signing probably an 8-figure contract, and he needs advice from outsiders. I don't mean this board, but he needs advice from coaches, NFL personnel, NFL players from LSU who left early, financial advisers, insurance advisers, and of course his family.
He doesn't need people telling him what to do with his life.
Putting himself in a cocoon would be extremely unwise. He needs to talk to a lot of different people to get different views. Even though I think the decision is crystal clear.

I was directing my comment to people on this board

What he definitely doesn't need is a bunch of self-righteous internet posters telling him what he should do.

I agree, he should go if hes a 1st round lock. (Which he is) yes, he has nothing more to prove. But its his life, he can take out an insurance policy if he wants... He's going to sign a 20-30 million dollar rookie deal regardless if its this year or the year after... if he is enjoying his life as a student and wants another year around his friends and teammates, hell, let the young man make his own decisions.. The guy could be offered some cush job with some oil and gas company in LA making 250k from some booster if he came back... that aint a bad life...

He should go PRO like 90% of this board and 100% of rational fans think.

Plus, an edumacation.... there’s that, too, ya know.....
An NFL contract will immediately!
That being said, get an injury insurance policy and come back for the Senior year...…...

I can’t understand how people still make the “get your degree” argument. Like going to the NFL as a junior wipes off 3 years of school work from his record and he will be forbidden from returning to finish his degree.

it is possible take out a 20 million dollar insurance policy and come back. Maybe he loves his college experience enough to come back.
“premiums run approximately $8,000 per $1 million of coverage” so $20M in coverage would cost around $160,000.
So, does White love LSU so much that he would pay $160K just to play one more year?

What does he have to lose? Possibly a lot with an injury.
Most of the Rant has it's head up it's arse. They don't live in the real world.
He'd be a fool to come back.

I live in DW’s home territory and while I don’t know him personally, I personally know several people that know him pretty well.
I’ve said for a while that I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he stayed four years.
He’s a different kind of cat. He’s pretty grounded and pretty old school.
I think he should go, but the possibility of him staying is a zero for me on the shock factor.

people that know me know I am 100% for players staying 4 years and I am against early entry to the draft. But I just can't honestly see what he gains by coming back. Unless he makes a crazy fall in the draft evaluation he would never be able to improve his stock above what it is now.

Did he graduate? If not maybe a true degree means something to him and his family.

He should declare for the draft now. And, I'm wavering in my desire to see him play in the Fiesta.

If he comes back and leads LSU to a championship, a statue should be erected of him riding his horse. That statue should then be mounted on the pedestal in Lee Circle.
That Circle should then be renamed White Circle.

He will not be a top 10 pick. Ibonly say that based on team needs. Late first round is my guess.
