a millon times this. All this “i’d be so pissed if he stayed” talk is hilarious. He’s a grown man, let him stay if he wants. There is no “should/should not” here.

I don't pretend to know what Devin is going to do, and I'm certainly not going to hold my breath on him coming back. But, for all of those who keep repeating "nope, top 5 pick, he's gone", you might want to remember when Andrew Luck came back for his senior year when he could have been the number 1 pick after his junior year. And, it didn't cost him as it turned out.

My point isn't that it's likely to happen, but merely that it is certainly possible. Nobody needs to be reminded every two seconds that he's a likely top 5 pick. We know. There is at least precedent to show that such a status does not preclude a player from returning to school for another year. Let's just see what happens, shall we?

What does he have to gain by coming back? Nothing. He's already a first round lock. What does he have to lose? Possibly a lot with an injury.

There are greater feats in life than making a million dollars. He can't take money to the grave...but he would always be remembered for leading LSU to a 'ship.

I've tried very hard to make this very point to people here and elsewhere. I don't understand why some people have such a hard time separating money from character building life choices.

And that doesn't mean that White would have no character if he should decide to leave. But I think it says a lot about a person when they can set aside their fears of catastrophe, and instead try to look at the big picture and what kind of example and legacy they want to set in their lives. Loyalty goes a long way. Everyone needs money, but money doesn't make a man.

He'll probably come in right at 6 feet or a shade under at the combine..... shorter lb's aren't necessarily en vogue for top 10 picks

top 10 picks are also largely need-based. how high up the list is middle linebacker for the first 10 teams picking
