I wouldn't come back, but it's not selfish to realize that not everyone has the same priorities.

The objective vs subjective post you quoted is not spot on. He very well could objectively have more reasons to come back, based on his own personal goals and priorities. I'm sure he also understands that it is exponentially more likely that he'll finish his senior year and still be in line to make the money he'd make this year. Some of you act like a career ending injury is a forgone conclusion for a senior who could have been highly drafted as a junior.

I don't see anyone saying he should avoid riding his horse or driving a car since a sever injury is possible with those activities.

Might be great for LSU, but as a top 5 pick and Butkus Winner, DW needs to go. It's a bird in the hand.

Horseback riding is a dangerous activity, fella. And quite unnecessary, if we're replacing his preferences and priorities with our own.

You are obviously an idiot, so no point trying to explain it to you. If you didn't get it in 10 pages, you never will. Continue to be selfish and down right foolish.

Keep saying this while calling people idiots. I love an insecure, angry ranter in his natural habitat.

Would be great for the team, but this youngsterhas to move on to the next level - one play away from finding out he is not indestructible - time to cash in & thanks for the memories

I actually heard yesterday in Monroe that Lawrence is declaring for the draft according to my source.

Boooo!!! Say it ain't so! Anyone not named greedy or white all need to come back... come on!! If your not a 1st round lock dont leave. If you are a first round lock leave and dont take the injury chance for a senior year unless you can improve your stock. You can't get any higher then a 1st round pick. Tre white was a 2nd or 3rd rounder he turned into a 1st rounder. Dontre was a 2nd rounder he went pro and is making money but he could have made 1st round money, look at toliver and Dupre. Man come back and solidify that draft grade man!!

Not everyone puts money above everything else believe it or not. I feel like the people that are saying he would be stupid to stay are just desiring for him what they personally would choose. Some people like to put God and family first, to others it's their legacy, maybe Devin looks to the team and coaching staff as part of his family and he's enjoying college life. Lastly I really think Devin loves his state and LSU, and really wants to put the state on his back, become a hero, and win a national championship. The money will be there and you never know what is in store for those who put non-materialistic things first. He could become a legend and be loved by many and remembered as one the greatest linebackers and leaders in LSU history. It's just 1 more year. Take out an insurance policy and go get the money and the legacy.

Just needs to go get a $10 million dollar insurance policy. No guarantee he doesn’t have a career altering injury during his rookie contract also. I mean, I think he’s good as gone, but the policy at least makes it reasonable!

ve Devin White, no homo, but if he comes back I would want to kick him in the arse for doing that.

No homo here either, but if I were homo, I’d be homo for Devin White!

(Would Love to take full credit for that one, but Burt Reynolds beat me to it when admiring pic of Paul Newman!)

Not happening. Once he sits down with his family and talks to a few agents that tell him he will get 20-30 million and change his family's lives forever.

probably a first rounder, but you never know who these scouts will fall in love with at the senior bowl and combine

its hard to see him not going in the first round but its not inconceivable

This. Money isn’t everything. He can’t buy back a senior year he never had. Set all the records you can set be a hero and or legend. Others have been willing to stay. We talk about the mt rushmore of LSU and Faulk is on it. Partly because he played his senior year. Get in that discussion Devin White

The probably is probably a top 10 pick. The first rounder is 100% lock.
