Did I say I know him?

I don't have to know him to care about his well being.

Sometimes I think I can't be surprised at ignorance of anonymous internet posters. Then I click on the Rant and come across posts like this.

When posters are mad at other posters for proving people wrong, this is what they say:....

It's funny the poster who called you out for not caring about his well-being is the same poster trying to sell the idea that a guaranteed first rounder coming back for his senior season is a great idea because there is no chance he'll be injured and no matter what happens, he'll make the same money next year he stands to make in a few months.

You guaranteed a football player won't get hurt. That's not proving someone wrong; that's putting your idiocy on full display.

This post literally made me laugh out loud.

Please, for the sake of the board .... get Over yourself.

This is a message board on the internet where fans of LSU and other schools come talk shite, read and give worthless opinions.
It’s not some board room in an office building where a person’s financial future is being shaped.

Once again pal, get over yourself.

Of those players I would say only Landry and maybe Dorsey would have been First rounders is theybleft early.

The rest probably needed to come back.

You guys can say how easy the decision is to take the money, but do you remember how awesome college was?

Money isn't everything. If he can come back, solidify his position as the best linebacker and one of the best LSU players of all time and possibly win a National Championship, while getting a degree and enjoying being a young superstar in college...well,that's nothing to shake a stick at.

tell that to Matt Barkley. And Jaylon Smith. And injuries might not even be on the field, guys get hurt on the outside too. Just ask Jason Williams (Duke basketball). And Chad Jones. And I'm sure there are MANY others.

Look, I'm all for sentimentality and the love of college. I've been there. But there's the real world out there, and real world decisions need to be made.

Ben Wilkerson says hello. One of saddest things was seeing his pro career derailed when he hurt his knee after returning for his senior year at LSU. Would never want that to happen to another Tiger great.

correct, but he's already done nearly all those things. The question is - is coming back for more worth risking millions of dollars?

I don't think he will be back, but maybe he will. He is obviously an intelligent person and has feeling for his school and friends on the team. He doesn't need people telling him what to do with his life.
