I did not know his dad went to Ole Miss
Seems like legacies are more and more going to other schools these days than before, but just anecdotal evidence there for me

Developed really bad bi-polar disorder and had manic episodes. Really sad.
Definitely could be CTE related, he had a few bad concussions going back to high school and took a lot of hits at Ole Miss.

Did a little digging here.
Daverin (Deuce's dad) went to Scotlandville. His mom Tekia went to college at Southern. I guess during college, by the math, Daverin had a baby with Tekia and Deuce was born in Baton Rouge. They all later moved to Suwanee, GA and that's where Deuce was raised.
But both parents are BR folks and he was born in BR. I didn't realize that, I guess.

I knew Gerald’s dad went to Ole Miss, but I did not know his father was so young that he was on the 2009 Ole Miss team. I just saw that cover on X this week

I worked with a guy who played HS football with Daverin at Scotlandville. He kept me posted to some degree but nobody knew how it was going to fall out at the end but his point was he has a lot of family and family friends in BTR that were pulling for him to come to LSU.
just a trivial side note, I believe Michael Oher of the Blind Side fame was on that team as well.
