If they count these type games then they should count Pete’s freshman season. They had stiffer competition than this.

If he's still playing in those games in some shite tournament nobody will care enough to talk about it anyway because the real tournament will be going on.

They have rebranded a coupled times and it's now the Basketball Classic. Detroit Mercy was in it last year at 14-15 so it's might happen.

It’s not a tournament where you earn a bid, you just buy a spot. How is that sanctioned?

I know, I know, someone is making a buck. It’s the money.

I think they do “invite” random teams or teams apply for invites

Some power conference teams with young teams on the cusp sometimes go. I think pitt, clemson and TCU have all recently played in the cbi

Little doubt these simps are playing at least one more game.

Good to see this outcome. It's what's known as basketball justice.

I'm sure that Antoine Davis is a fine young man, but certain sports records are meant to last-- Maravich scoring record in college, Wilt Chamberlain's single-game scoring, Joe DiMaggio consecutive game hitting streak, and Joe Burrow's season TD passes (60)!

You do know Joe’s record was broken last season. The record now is 62, by Bailey Zappe at W Kentucky.
Of course Joe did it against far tougher competition, but technically it’s gone.

This is great news. Now I don’t have to send him a nasty letter. All is right with the world

Detroit Mercy went 14-19. I mean nothing surprises me at this point. I’d bet they invite them but 14-15, and 14-19 big difference.

Most likely he’ll be in that tournament teams in the past got in that we’re 13-20.

It's bad enough he had 5 years to Pete's 3! No Shot Clock! No 3 point line...and this kid had his dad as the head coach! How much BS is that! That alone should have disqualified him.

They tried to get him to tie it with that technical.

You do know that Pistol had his dad as coach as well, right?

To be honest I don't know anything about Bailey Zappe and his purported "record." I know enough about college football to know his team wasn't in the BCS playoffs, and didn't compete for the national championship.

Did Western Kentucky even win their conference championship?

Which one?
Davis took less shots in 5 years than Pete did in 3. The difference is the 3 point shot and no shot clock.

LSU should buy in to the tournament and match up with Davis in the record breaking game. Would be a great story.

Our records are similar.

I am well aware the Press was Pete's coach at LSU! I was making fun of the Ranters bitching about some dumb scoring record by a JV kid.
