Ryan Perroiloux could have had more of an overall impact if he had stayed.

Obviously Stingley was a great player but the team had other issues.

Perilloux may have brought us another Championahip because the teams were solid

He did NOT have an injury in 2020. You can message me and I’ll tell you what’s up. I got banned last time I posted it in a thread.

If you're talking about his absence in the opener against Mississippi State, yes - we all know.

He also sprained his ankle in the Mizzou game, and reportedly had a concussion during a punt return against Arkansas.

He would have still been running head first into a brick wall against Bama.

Not his fault. As good as he was he was hampered by that Les Miles offense.

I don’t call a guy who won a title as the best defensive player on the team a “what if”

He was not the best defensive player on the team. There were two defensive backs better than him, Chaisson was also better and Queen.

I wouldn't bet on that. It takes commitment. He's lacking that, as well know.

For the life of me, I’m not sure why people still lineup to defend Stingley. This is an LSU board where people want what’s best for LSU. I’m thankful Sting was a big part of the 2019 championship, but he’s been tip toeing around since that time to avoid anything that might cost him being a top 10 pick. Being an all world 5 star does LSU little good when you only play 1.5 seasons. I wish him the best in his pro career but we’ll always wonder what could have been.

Is he though? Key cog in a title team isn’t really a big what if

Even if he had Patrick Peterson level soph/jr years, the team isn’t much of any better overall.

I played with him in HS. Played against many future college and NFL players and he was by far the best player.

He could have been one of the most beloved Tigers ever.

Chase caught a lot of heat too though when he sat out 2020. Seems tiger fans stopped caring this year due to his production and national stardom.

If Stingley become all-pro, the same will happen for him. We will accept him with open arms.

Actually got NIL deals last year and still didn’t play. Quit essentially after we lost our first game. He’s another reason why we needed a complete cultural change—when your best player quits after 1 goddamn loss.

Go back and review the lineup we started against UCLA.
Then watch how we played and how bad the coaching was.
We weren’t undermanned. We were soft and unprepared.

This time last year you guys spent the whole season and offseason bashing Chase.

Go through my posts and see if I bashed Chase.

Do I think Chase made the right decision? No, but it was his decision and he made it at the beginning. He didnt "opt out" halfway through when we lost a couple games. Players that magically became scared 1/2 or 3/4 of the way through a crappy season are the ones that get the blame.

When will you guys realize that NFL does not give a shite about guys shutting it down, opting out, or whatever BS narrative fans try to create. These guys have to be in the best shape possible when its time to see NFL team doctors for the pre-draft evaluations.

Honestly, I dont give a shite about the NFL.

What if Jarrett Lee had started on 1/9/12?

backtrack to 11/18/11 ... what if then #2 OSU hadn't schit in the bed vs. a 5-4 Iowa State team losing in Dbl-OT. That OSU loss opened the door for the 1/9/12 NC rematch with ALA which completely demoralized LSU football for years.

Agree. My sense is that he's a good kid. Not a prima donna/jerk as seems to be the case with Ricks.

The biggest what-if to me has to be Ryan Perrilloux. If he would have kept his head on straight LSU could have been an even bigger monster in college football.

I would say Cecil Collins and Tyran Mathieu are bigger what ifs.

It's one of two guys, Ryan Perrilloux or Cecil Collins with an honorable mention to Alley Broussard.

Only at LSU would fans think a 2 time All-American is a "what if?"

I guess...what if he would have NOT gotten injured? 3 time All-American?
